Due to weather, there was not a typical amount of cars ready to walk down the aisle and grab, but the staff was delivering them as soon as they were ready. I was very impressed by the professionalism of the team.

I stepped off the airplane and immediately found myself behind the wheel of my chosen car, ready to go. No waiting in line, no tedious paperwork. The service agents were friendly and welcoming, making the experience truly top-notch. I was blown away by the level of service - it was truly awesome.

I actually paid less than what i was quoted. A week later i received the bill for the tolls which was also accurate. I will definitely be renting with Alamo again.

Llegué al aeropuerto y él estaba allí con el auto esperándonos y la misma experiencia al dejar el auto. No hay riesgos al intentar encontrar una empresa. Compré el seguro y me alegro de haberlo hecho. En el primer viaje estacioné el auto para el ferry en Fajardo y lo golpearon en la parte trasera mientras estaba estacionado. La segunda vez el agua aflojó la cubierta plástica de barro de la fronda y fue arrastrando mientras conducíamos y salíamos. Alquilé tres autos en el tercer viaje para la boda de mi hijo. Félix nos recibió en el aeropuerto, los tres coches estaban allí listos para salir, contrato en mano y firmado. Muy facil. No puedo decir lo suficiente sobre este negocio y lo profesional que es Félix y lo acogedor que es. Puerto Rico siempre será mi lugar para vacacionar. No puedo esperar a julio. Volveré a usar Lugos.

Ben: Relaxed and convenient rental close to many tourist hotels in San Juan. Great location on the end of Condado so you can avoid the traffic snarl. Booked a car one day in advance in late may and plenty of availability. Fast checkout process with only one other person in queue.
Ben Schneider: Overall a good experience, however I felt misled about how tolls would be paid for. I was told multiple times that tolls were included in the cost and that the car is equipped with "EZ-pass". While the car was indeed equipped with EZ-pass, I was still charged $20 in tolls over 2 days of driving. I was then told that tolls are NOT covered by Enterprise and that they never were. So I felt misled by that.

Both Carlos and the other representative where very friendly and helpful, the car was clean and in great condition, and great price for over a week rental. Overall, I had a wonderful experience with and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of a reliable rental service. It was also convenient with the shuttle service to and from the airport the driver was also helpful loading and unloading our luggage.

No hidden fees, the cars are given very clean and filled with gas, pleasant workers and very fast shuttle service to and from the airport! The only downside is the operating hours. If you have a flight after 5:30pm landing or taking off, this company will not work for you as the lady shuttle is at 5:30pm.

Rosemary Escoto: I must admit I was a bit skeptical at first to book with Payless due to a few negative reviews but I am glad I went with my gut and decided to book.The process was quick and easy and I went in knowing that the price on expedia would not be my final price. If you click on the fine print when booking on expedia, you will see that the price does not include the necessary added insurance, additional drivers, tolls and etc. With that being said, my total for 9 days was still cheaper than many other places that I had looked at for a full-size SUV. The car was in great condition. My family and I traveled all over the island, and I was glad we added the daily e-toll option. There is free roundtrip shuttle transportation at the airport that will take you to their site, which is less than 10 min away.The staff was also friendly and helpful. My experience was great and I would likely use them again in the future.

Expedia/Priceline/Orbit ect. will charge you $120 for "insurance" they do not accept.Payless Car Rental helped us straighten it all out,got us a better rate than quoted,AND was understanding when our flight was canceled and needed the rental extended.
