Allyson Blosser: The best place we ate at the whole week we were in PR. We ate here for lunch the first time and came back for dinner the next day because we literally were dreaming about the food. Our group of 4 had nothing but amazing things to say about each of our plates, and we all got something different and shared. The chips and salsa... to die for! Any shrimp or fish meals are so fresh and delicious! The servers were so kind and also so fun. They made great recommendations and kept up with our group despite having to large groups show up right after us. We will definitely come back if we get the chance again. Antoine Prioleau: This place gets a 5 star review across the board. Me and my family of 3 went to this restaurant located in old San Juan. After I tour through the area, we came upon this place because my daughter been asking for tacos the whole trip haha. When we arrived the host/waiter sat us down and accommodated us because we had a small stroller for my son. We started off with appetizers such has elote corn, fondue, and cassava fries. As for drinks me and my wife had passion fruit margaritas. Once I knew the appetizers and drinks were great, I knew the entree would be as well. My daughter order pork belly tacos, I had chicken tacos and my wife had fish tacos. The seasoning on all 3 tacos was delicious. We sat ate and converse for about 2 hours. I recommend this place if you are in old San Juan area. Thank you La Madre.

Read some reviews about this place so decided to give it a shot.I was not disappointed.The food is delicious and very authentic. I had the pork belly tacos, while people in our party had the duck quesadillas. All of it was good.Since the restaurant was full we sat in the alley which in itself was a vibe.Don’t think about it, head to this place if you want something else besides PR food.
Spencer C Dorhout: All-around excellence. The fish tacos were the best I’ve had in my entire life, no question about it. Our bartender was fantastic, artfully whipping up drinks and taking orders and cleaning at the same time, but still happy to explain everything to us. You could tell the employees were proud of the restaurant; they were explaining how many of the items were house-made and even who made them that day, it was refreshing to see such an obvious love of their restaurant. Now we love it too!

David Taylor: My wife and I were staying in Condado and wanted to have a nice dinner on a Sunday evening. We originally had a reservation for 9:00, then I received a text message from the restaurant, it said something to the effect that to due to some circumstances our reservation time had been changed to 8:15. It wasn't an issue for us, just pointing it out. The service is slow, but helpful, and I've come to expect that in PR. The food is very good, but at this price point, food excellence is expected. We had several starters and the chicharonnes were delicious. The mains were the guiso and fish of the day. The fish of day dish was fantastic and the guiso was okay.
Elizabeth Cruz: So let me start by saying this place was not easy to spot. My family and I were heading to dinner somewhere else and it was closed. I looked on the GPS for a closer restaurant and JEnrique popped up. When we walked there were few tables available. What I liked was that we were a party of 10 without reservations and they accommodated us right away. Food was super good and host was very nice. BTW, do not leave this place without trying their amazing “batata y mojo” By far the best side dish you can ever try. Will definitely come back to this spot when I come back to PR.

Anke Rudy: Stumbled across this place on our first day in San Juan. Loved the cosy atmosphere, it was quiet the day we went, just fine with us. I ordered the veg fajitas, large enough portion to share with someone else... Nice variety of veg including carrots, cauliflower, zucchini etc. I took the guac & refriend beans, let my friend have all the sour cream & cheese.
