Antoine Prioleau: This place gets a 5 star review across the board. Me and my family of 3 went to this restaurant located in old San Juan. After I tour through the area, we came upon this place because my daughter been asking for tacos the whole trip haha. When we arrived the host/waiter sat us down and accommodated us because we had a small stroller for my son. We started off with appetizers such has elote corn, fondue, and cassava fries. As for drinks me and my wife had passion fruit margaritas. Once I knew the appetizers and drinks were great, I knew the entree would be as well. My daughter order pork belly tacos, I had chicken tacos and my wife had fish tacos. The seasoning on all 3 tacos was delicious. We sat ate and converse for about 2 hours. I recommend this place if you are in old San Juan area. Thank you La Madre.
Steven Kanavalli: Was in the mood for some Mexican food while staying in Old San Juan PR 🇵🇷. Read some reviews about this place so decided to give it a shot.I was not disappointed.The food is delicious and very authentic. I had the pork belly tacos, while people in our party had the duck quesadillas. All of it was good.Since the restaurant was full we sat in the alley which in itself was a vibe.Don’t think about it, head to this place if you want something else besides PR food.
Spencer C Dorhout: All-around excellence. The fish tacos were the best I’ve had in my entire life, no question about it. Our bartender was fantastic, artfully whipping up drinks and taking orders and cleaning at the same time, but still happy to explain everything to us. You could tell the employees were proud of the restaurant; they were explaining how many of the items were house-made and even who made them that day, it was refreshing to see such an obvious love of their restaurant. Now we love it too!

Christopher Patterson: I used to think I would never stop coming here, their food slaps, but it seem like either the price went up or the amount of meat in the taco went down I can’t remember but the food taste is great. I like their quesadillas too and I always get a Bag of chips with the salsa verde and a salsa chipotle. They have a cool vibe most of the seating is upstairs and the beer is colder than your ex girlfriend’s heart. Negra Modelo is recommended. Also their margaritas are outstanding.

We stumbled upon this restaurant and it quickly became one of the highlights of our trip.Every item was spectacular. The chips, the pico, the guacamole were all so fresh and delicious.The tacos were superb. The cochinita taco is a must try and was arguably the best taco I have ever eaten in my life.The star of the show is the amazing red sauce they provide on the tables. Smokey, sweet, savory, I could have drank the entire bottle of my other friends weren’t grabbing it out of my hands just as feverishly.This place is everything that a taco shop should be. Anke Rudy: Stumbled across this place on our first day in San Juan. Loved the cosy atmosphere, it was quiet the day we went, just fine with us. I ordered the veg fajitas, large enough portion to share with someone else... Nice variety of veg including carrots, cauliflower, zucchini etc. I took the guac & refriend beans, let my friend have all the sour cream & cheese. My daughter got the nachos, huge portion, fully loaded! Friendly service, would definitely go back on a return visit!

J S: We were not disappointed whatsoever. Tried new foods and everything tasted fresh. I have never seen an avocado so big! We got a stuffed chicken avocado, my son tried chicken chimichangas for the first time and skirt steak and shrimp fajitas was seasoned very well and bursting with flavor. Fried cheesecake for dessert topped off a great experience. Portion size was great. Not too much and not too little. The only thing I would have to say that wasn’t a favorite was my pina colada. Needed to be blended more. Too icy. Prices were worth the flavor and portions. Service was attentive and food came out fast. Even for the jalepeno poppers and they were great. Thank you for some great food Don Tako! Highly recommend.
