More of a fixed price menu than a tasting menu, as you got the option to select a starter, appetizer, entree and dessert of your choice, and they also provided a second appetizer of a white bean truffle soup. Wine pairings were offered. We found their wine list to be excellent and selected a bottle of Gigondas plus a glass of Sauvignon Blanc to start. The food was excellent from start to finish with a beautiful presentation for each dish. Servers were attentive and polished.We enjoyed our experience tremendously and would return to San Juan just to eat here!Definitely worth a visit if you’ve got time in Old San Juan.

Selin G: Absolutely delightful experience that makes you get to know Puerto Rico by food. All the food is locally sourced and every meal is explained to us by the sous chef as she was serving it. We had the wine pairing along with both the vegetarian and the omnivorous option. There were four food acts and a dessert act, each and every single one very special and well thought. The food was very simple but layered with so many textures at times. The restaurant is located in a beautiful area and has a very cozy and friendly environment. This place really enhanced our experience in Puerto Rico, must eat here!

Big Country Sound: This is the single best and most memorable eating experience I've ever had. Chef Carlos is a true artist and his small team achieved extremely impressive stuff. I was continually amazed by all aspects of the experience, and as the meal went on I realized that not only is it a culinary experience, the whole curation of everything is like a piece of performance art.Purposefully slow - where else does that happen? Slow down and think about life. You will not go hungry but you will have plenty of time to enjoy the company of your loved ones or just chat with the amazing Carlos. I was nervous to go into the kitchen at first but once he brought me in there himself the experience really opened up - incredibly welcoming, informative, and entertaining. Also had a couple of the best wines I've ever had, I would absolutely urge you to go for the wine pairing as well.A cannot-miss experience if you're, in Carlos' words, a gastronomic traveller. Eliza Hecht: . Hay 7 mesas, creo. Los platos no combinan; la decoración es súper extraña y hay proyecciones en la pared de los discos sonando y el área de preparación de la cocina. Hay 3 personas trabajando: el jefe de cocina/propietario, un chef que cocina y un sous chef/servidor. Todos eran personajes totales y fue un gran placer. Se anima a los comensales a ir a la cocina y verlos cocinar.Estuvimos allí durante 4 horas y media. Hubo 20 cursos. Hay un maridaje de vinos que en realidad no es opcional: el propietario seguía sirviéndonos vino. Estábamos más borrachos que nunca en al menos una década. Terminé hablando sobre fertilidad con un completo desconocido y fumé un cigarrillo por primera vez en 6 años. Fue muy, muy divertido. Recomiendo encarecidamente esta experiencia si estás en San Juan. No te arrepentirás.

Michael Piekarski: My expectations weren’t high as I have been disappointed many times before in Puerto Rico dining spots. I was very pleasantly surprised.The filet mignon was excellently seasoned and perfectly cooked. And the calamari was some of the best I have had in a while. The drinks were likewise excellent.Everything was a bit pricey, and the service a bit slow, but the food quality more than made up for it. We’ll be back.

Antoine Prioleau: Este lugar recibe una reseña de 5 estrellas en todos los ámbitos. Mi familia de 3 personas y yo fuimos a este restaurante ubicado en el viejo San Juan. Después de recorrer la zona, llegamos a este lugar porque mi hija estuvo pidiendo tacos durante todo el viaje, jaja. Cuando llegamos, el anfitrión/camarero nos sentó y nos acomodó porque teníamos un cochecito pequeño para mi hijo. Comenzamos con aperitivos como maíz elote, fondue y papas fritas de yuca. En cuanto a las bebidas, mi esposa y yo tomamos margaritas de maracuyá. Una vez que supe que los aperitivos y las bebidas eran excelentes, supe que el plato principal también lo sería. Mi hija pidió tacos de panceta de cerdo, yo comí tacos de pollo y mi esposa tacos de pescado. El condimento de los 3 tacos estuvo delicioso. Nos sentamos a comer y conversamos durante aproximadamente 2 horas. Recomiendo este lugar si estás en la zona del viejo San Juan. Gracias Madre.

Read some reviews about this place so decided to give it a shot.I was not disappointed.The food is delicious and very authentic. I had the pork belly tacos, while people in our party had the duck quesadillas. All of it was good.Since the restaurant was full we sat in the alley which in itself was a vibe.Don’t think about it, head to this place if you want something else besides PR food.

Our bartender was fantastic, artfully whipping up drinks and taking orders and cleaning at the same time, but still happy to explain everything to us. You could tell the employees were proud of the restaurant; they were explaining how many of the items were house-made and even who made them that day, it was refreshing to see such an obvious love of their restaurant. Now we love it too!

David Taylor: My wife and I were staying in Condado and wanted to have a nice dinner on a Sunday evening. We originally had a reservation for 9:00, then I received a text message from the restaurant, it said something to the effect that to due to some circumstances our reservation time had been changed to 8:15. It wasn't an issue for us, just pointing it out. The service is slow, but helpful, and I've come to expect that in PR. The food is very good, but at this price point, food excellence is expected. We had several starters and the chicharonnes were delicious. The mains were the guiso and fish of the day. The fish of day dish was fantastic and the guiso was okay.
Elizabeth Cruz: So let me start by saying this place was not easy to spot. My family and I were heading to dinner somewhere else and it was closed. I looked on the GPS for a closer restaurant and JEnrique popped up. When we walked there were few tables available. What I liked was that we were a party of 10 without reservations and they accommodated us right away. Food was super good and host was very nice. BTW, do not leave this place without trying their amazing “batata y mojo” By far the best side dish you can ever try. Will definitely come back to this spot when I come back to PR.

Steven Kanavalli: Was in Old San Juan after a Caribbean cruise and wanted some breakfast. Found this place which is a gem.The coffee and the pastries were excellent. They had this one pastry with Guava it was amazing. The sandwiches are also worth a taste made with sourdough bread.If you are looking for a breakfast place in Old San Juan, don’t look any further.

Service was a little wonky - initially told we had a 20 minute wait, so we sat at the bar, and then the table was available.From a food perspective, it was great. We had a lot of lamb ribs that were delicious. Arancini was good too. Drinks stood out as well - they were well made and very creative.Would love to return - the atmosphere was spectacular.
Justin S: Wow! What a great place. We ate here twice while visiting Old San Juan. The first time, we picked this restaurant at random based on Google reviews. We were super impressed. The second time, our plans at another restaurant in Old San Juan fell.through, so we headed over here again. Great appetizers, pizza, and entrees, and great quick service. Our food was hot and fresh. Highly recommend!
