Ashley: Our first night we were in room 103, on the first floor located next to the elevator and facing the interior courtyard. The room had a small window to the outside courtyard but the window did not have glass, only a plastic barrier. Unfortunately the room’s location and the window allowed noise in the lobby/elevator to enter our room. For us personally, it was just a bit too noisy. However, we asked if there were any other rooms available and they were able to upgrade us to a suite with a small fee. At first they weren’t sure if this suite would be available but they worked hard to set it up for us so we could switch. They were extremely kind and the new room was much quieter. It had a beautiful terrace and a clean, spacious bathroom. The suite was under the bar but we didn’t hear it at all. Both rooms we stayed in were clean with great air conditioning and fans. The staff were helpful and friendly. We would definitely stay here again in a suite. The way the employees understood and accommodated us was wonderful and I would definitely recommend this hotel to others! The noise level was a just matter of personal preference and if you like a quieter space, then a suite may be better for you.
Hollie Cost: This quaint hotel off the beaten path in Old San Juan provides visitors with a homey yet pampered experience. The decor and art is exquisite and the staff could not be any kinder or more professional. Everyone was so incredibly helpful, especially after we had a challenging experience with our previous Airbnb. Yvette was particularly gracious as she provided us with the finest dining recommendation we had during our trip and provided our reservation. We will be back!
Rigo Sarellano-Haros (Riggs): Small hotel located in the best place in Old San Juan. From here you can walk anywhere. Entertainment within walking distance. No swimming pool or many amenities. All the services were great every person we encountered at the front desk was so pleasant and courteous, our room was spacious and clean has a mini fridge, 2 tvs , micro and coffee maker.

Georgia Louise W: had two balcony suites that connected to each other and they were very spacious clean and nice King size beds. We did not know initially we had adjoining suites but we loved it. This would also be great for 2 families.Be mindful you are in the middle of all the action so if you are a light sleeper you may have a long night Lol. But once the bars closed it was very peaceful.Bathrooms were spacious with large showers.This hotel also has a great roof top deck and and bar and they serve food. Drinks were very good.We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it.Posibilidad de caminar: You can easily walk to all the shopping, restaurants, plaza etc. The location is excellent 👌🏾💯. Bring good walking shoes, you will need it.
Douglas Short: We stayed three nights before our cruise and was very pleased. Stayed in the terrace suite and it was very spacious, clean and with a large balcony. Loved everything about the Decanter. Such a nice building in the heart of it all, night life and restaurants etc.. The staff made us feel very welcoming and was outstanding. We have found are San Juan hotel and will be back next year.

Kim Delgado: Just the most beautiful place I have ever stayed at. I’m looking at my photos a year later and still unbelievable ! The pool was empty when I went and so peaceful. Every inch of the space is rich in character and just feels magical. I loved wandering around, looking at the art and watching the sunset from the rooftop. Great location in central San Juan close to all of the main sights. The staff was also very nice. I was also surprised at how affordable it was so such a beautiful place!Only thing I will note is to be careful when it rains since it’s partially outdoors, the floors can get slippery. I ended up slipping and falling on my way back to my room one morning, but the staff was sooo kind, apologetic and attentive to me making sure I was alright. They had someone come right away to make sure it was dry.I stayed by myself and felt so at home here, would absolutely stay again!

While my wife and I did not actually go to the area during the evening or the day we HEARD IT.Starting from 6:00 p.m. until music subsided at 6:00 a.m. the next morning, the constant irritating sound left us tossing and turning all night.Sleeping for those days that we were there was a nightmare because the music wasn't a tranquil melody, but instead, it was drums, saxophones and overall loud music.Would I stay at this place again, knowing what I know now.... I don't think I would do it again. Is it worth while to see it one time? Yes I think it is. Will you dislike the fact that as soon as 6:00 p.m. comes along and you hear music that won't stop until the next day? That, my friends, is a certainty.Ps: I will be adding pictures in the near future to illustrate the uniqueness and visible history of this property along with the parrots that are located on site.Pss: If you are indeed a heavy sleeper, then absolutely reserve this hotel! It is such a memorable experience that a person will not be disappointed! It seems like every place you look there's something new to discover.
Kiara Alfonseca: I will be recommending this place to anyone visiting San Juan. It's got its quirks -- exotic birds roaming the grounds during the day, a private rooftop for hotel guests, a beautiful courtyard for sitting and grand but cozy kitchen area for eating and reading. It felt like a magnificent and beautiful home away from home. It is so close to the best restaurants and historic sites in the old city but also a short cheap drive away from incredible beaches and other destinations. If you're used to resorts and high end luxury, this isn't for you. My only warning: you likely have to walk through outdoor areas to get to your room so be aware of slipping / water when you're walking around. It also is not very accessible for people with mobility issues. Other than that, please stay here. It's locally owned and newly adored by me and my partner.
AJ J: Excellent location! This local hotel has a lot of character. The rooms are all unique and contain a lot of art. Lots of pianos. Air conditioning in the rooms and lots of shade in the courtyards. I recommend this place for people who like the quirky and unique, but I wouldn't recommend it for people with any sort of mobility issues or for someone with a young toddler - the place is old so many uneven surfaces, steps, and issues with leaky sections of roofing that could become slipping hazards. And of course lots of objects and statues around that would be hard to keep a toddler from grabbing. I like the place, but rated a 4 instead of 5 because of the water dripping from the ceiling onto the floor into the hallway making it slick and also because my ceiling in my room sprung a leak when it rained. I couldn't be moved until the next day because no other available rooms, but I also noticed stains on the floor when I first arrived that suggested water in the room was an ongoing issue. Despite this, I appreciated the character of the place.
Kathleen Moss: Amazing Inn, I would never stay anywhere else in San Juan. We stayed in a King room, the mattress and linens felt like we were sleeping on a cloud. We were blown away by the elegance of our room and the entire property. Service was great, Sam was warm and helpful. This place is a breath of fresh air, there's no other hotel or inn like it anywhere in the world. Such a rare gem on this beautiful island.

Brittany: For someone who had to book a last minute flight this hotel is very convenient. Angel helped me out so much in making my stay as comfortable as possible and his customer service is 10/10. They have recently renovated so the rooms are more soundproof. Yes rooms are small but you are paying for convenience. I will be staying here again. Thanks again Angel!

The staff is fully bilingual, AND you can learn some Spanish phrases to greet these good people and express your good faith as a visitor in their linguistic space. Go ahead. Click on google translate and learn how to say: “Good morning/afternoon/evening” and “Thank you” and “pardon me.” Paying for a room doesn’t mean any of us visitors are entitled to demand an English-only space2. Talk to the staff. Ask how their day is going. We can all show some needed kindness and love these days. Doing so shows that a place to rest is a community space not just a destination3. Ask for what you need. None of the staff can help if we don’t ask. And ask with care and patience4. Enjoy the pool!5. Clean up your messes. It’s a hotel not our mama’s house. Teresa Strebler: We stayed here before and after a cruise, and it was a perfect spot for what we were looking for. Super close to the cruise port, the staff was incredibly helpful - they provided a shuttle to the port and scheduled us a very early morning cab pickup back to the airport.It’s a top notch budget hotel!

Mama Cee: We stayed here 2 days before our cruise. For perspective I live in US and my go-to brand is Best Western.Ok- this is a budget hotel. You are paying for a place to sleep. What you will get: clean sheets and towels. You do have hot water and an AC that works. They have a shuttle to the cruise port. Let the ladies know up front what you need.What you won't get: fancy room, wash clothes, access to turn down the ac temp, coffee in The morning.Note: ask the nice ladies for the remote to turn down your AC.Hot water: let it run for 45 seconds then you're good.Remember you're not staying at a 400$ resort! But for the price you get an amazing place to stay.This place is close to restaurants and a beach to go swimming.My only suggestion: coffee for the morning.. but that's just me.Actividades cerca de mi ubicación: Beach access and restaurants.

Weisha Jackson: Stayed October of 2021 for 5 days. Upon arrival my room smelled of mold really bad. Was giving me a headache throughout the night but I was moved to a bigger room for an up charge of course. However, overall stay was great. The free breakfast cut down on food expenses and it’s hot buffet. The staff are nice and friendly but didn’t have many English speaking people on duty.Comidas y bebidas: Free happy hour is great! There are snacks and free drinks at the hotel. Also a swim up bar that was really good. Music was a good selection and appropriate! For the price I think it’s a good stay!!

MeganKalen Ladnier: Due to the unfortunate events happening with the airlines, we ended up stuck in San Juan for 3 extra days. Delta only provided us with one night stay at Double Tree. After arriving at the hotel, we were told Delta never contacted the hotel to verify rooms for myself and the 4 other people with me. The lack of communication and accommodation from Delta was so disappointing BUT Double Tree did not allow us to be stranded for 3 days with no room. Stephanie and Gadiel at the front desk went above and beyond for us and made sure the 5 of us had rooms for the entire 3 days we are stuck here, covered by Delta. We could not have asked for better customer service. The rooms are great, pool area is beautiful and clean, Pablo is an excellent bartender, everything is top tier. Highly recommend staying here!
Jazdiannet Shackford: Our absolute go-to when ever we are in San Juan. The hospitality, cleanliness, amenities, and location cannot be beat. Better Reality Coaching: Great hotel and great experience. Only a few minutes from the airport. The hotel is exit 2b and the airport is exit 8. It’s conveniently located to many amenities and the beach. I would be remiss if I didn’t say the walls are paper thin, I heard the microwave from the other one. Any issues I had, had nothing to do with the staff. So overall, I enjoyed everything about my hotel experience from my first encounter with Bryan to the last encounter with the staff at the restaurant. Everyone was very friendly, hospitable, and accommodating. Next time I am in PR, this will be my hotel of choice.

SMW: This place is safer than Fort Knox. There's a code to get in the main gate then another code to get your keys and then three gates with keys to get to the room upstairs. It is not in the best part of town but we never experienced anything negative and walked to the beach by day. Very clean and helpful communication with staff upon check-in and check-out. They even have beach chairs in one of the closets, plus having the beach two blocks away… if you can, please get some cat food and feed the stray cats that live in the neighborhood, even that was a nice experience.

David Crespo: I think is his name so booked it.The place is like a very nice simple home. it had a living room kitchen and even a little patio in the back. yes it was hot, but is Puerto Rico what do people expect? lol the room did have a great air conditioner so we slept comfortable. overall it was awesome and though everything was clean. If your a simple guy like me that just wants a quiet comfortable place to sleep because lets be real vacation is to go have fun and explore not stay in the place all day then this is the place for you.. I would highly recommend it and I will book again if I come back to Puerto Rico

Katie Rojas: Room was very clean however we found mold in our bathroom 2 days into our trip. We did not switch rooms but they did offer that option - however they never followed up about it. The location is okay. This is out of their control really but there’s no parking lot for the hotel - you have to pay for parking in the abandoned resort or hotel lot which is walking distance. But the staff was friendly and it felt safe there.

No hay mucho espacio de almacenamiento, pero solo estuvimos allí 2 noches y podríamos haberlo hecho funcionar si fuera necesario. No estoy seguro de si contarías esto como una estafa, ¡mi mamá y yo lo encontramos divertido! ¡En nuestra habitación había una ventana esmerilada que descubrimos que daba al pasillo en nuestro último día! La televisión no funcionaba, pero en general la habitación estaba limpia y era cómoda. Pasamos un rato en la azotea pero no usamos los jacuzzis. El desayuno del restaurante era bueno. Tuvimos un buen servicio por parte de los camareros y de la recepción. Excelente ubicación para explorar el viejo San Juan. Disfrutamos nuestra estancia. Vale el precio.

Nicky Quillinan: I can not say enough nice things about this place… top notch service all around. The staff is super friendly and always compliments you and tells you to enjoy the day. The beach crew are THE BEST always there to set up chairs and umbrellas you. The beach was so hot they brought around ice pops and ice cold minty washcloths to cool off with. I’ve never experienced this in my life. There are also so many activities by the pool for all ages. I was here last year for 3 nights and this time 5 nights. The only bad thing I will say is there is A LOT of renovations going on right now. They are improving for the future but it was a little noise and a few inconveniences.I will def be back in the future!! Thanks all around for a great 5 nights.
Lisa Quach: Stayed in Room 1111 mid-July. The room had 2 double beds. Bathroom tub could use an upgrade but everything else was clean. The balcony was private and the oceanfront room had an amazing view. Housekeeping came everyday:For elite members, you can go next to the lobby to get water, soda, chips during the day from concierge. You can choose between points or breakfast coupon… the coupon is for the buffet at the restaurant next to the pool area. There is an omelet bar, fruits, meats & cheese, pastries, bacon, sausage, quinoa, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, and some other things… it’s not like an all-inclusive resort breakfast but it was not bad at all. Included mimosas. On Friday night, there was also a cocktail hour event for elite members in the lobby/bar. They provided small items as sliders and desserts. Parking for elite members is also reduced. The valet parking guys are soooo nice!They have a schedule of events such as movie night or s’mores…The staff was wonderful. They gave me a small bottle of wine in a gift bag when I mentioned it was my birthday.The casino bar is open until 3am and Angel is one of the best bartenders ever. Makes a really good Miami Vice too! They will give you $30 “match” coupon… go to service desk and they’ll give you what looks like Monopoly money and you can use with your cash to make a bet… gotta spend money to make money.Location: nearby restaurants… there’s a variety within walking distance… for late night, dulce la vida and the spot next door is open until 4am… there is also a Walgreens and 24hour store next the hotel so you can always buy what you need… including liquor. They stop selling liquor at 2am!There are people on the beach to set up chairs for you. You can order food and they’ll bring it to you. Card or Room charge only. There’s also a guy who sells these pineapple slush things inside a pineapple, it’s $20 with liquor and completely worth it!!!Would only stay here if I came back to PR.

Brandon Cleaver: Outstanding experience. The staff was completely awesome. There were a few minor things that came up. But was well overlooked. I wish I remembered everyone’s name who helped. My only complaint was eating outside for breakfast, was a bad experience especially for the price, but they have a bakery inside which I do recommend. They gave us an oceanfront upgrade. That was very much appreciated. Overall amazing experience. One thing that is undeniable was the housekeeping service was outstanding. Absolute kudos to the housekeeping team. The hotel felt very clean and safe!

Había muchas opciones para comer a poca distancia y la playa estaba a sólo unos minutos de distancia. Era el cumpleaños de mi prometida y Margie nos preparó unos lindos globos y pancartas, lo cual fue muy amable de su parte. Realmente apreciamos nuestra estancia y realmente lo recomendamos.

M K: Este es EL MEJOR B&B en el que me he alojado. Era mucho mejor que el resort de 5 estrellas con todo incluido del que acabo de regresar en República Dominicana. La casa es súper limpia, acogedora, el desayuno es delicioso, abundante y fresco. El anfitrión le envía mensajes con instrucciones claras y atención al detalle. El lugar cuenta con las más lindas áreas comunes, menús de restaurante, sillas de playa, sombreros, sombrillas. El anfitrión pensó en todo. También está a 2 minutos a pie de la playa, que es muy bonita y tranquila. No puedo pensar en una mejor escapada relajante. Planeo visitar PR nuevamente y ni siquiera voy a pensar dos veces en quedarme aquí. Esta es la ubicación PERFECTA. El área también es segura. Esta casa está ubicada en una calle con otras hermosas villas, todas cerradas y elegantes.

Everyone Lahinch Surf Shop: Gave me full details for arrival out of hours, nice continental style breakfast with fresh juice and fruit in addition to some warm food options. Decent WiFi and the house is kept very clean. Ideal for my couple of days before a cruise.
Natasha Patel: Not even sure where to start. The stay at Casa Isabel was AMAZING! Our host was so nice and knowledgeable, and communication even before the trip was great. I asked if she could set up a little surprise for my bf for when we walked into the room since it was his birthday trip, and they had set up a "Happy Birthday" banner, with balloons, and fake rose petals on the bed that said "Love". It was so cute and thoughtful.The room itself had everything we needed. The bathroom was pretty modern, the shower was great with nice water pressure and it was never short of hot water for us. Our room was a bit darker than the rest, but we were barely in there so it's okay. The bed was very comfortable AND the room had a fan and strong AC which was a blessing to come home to.The rest of the BnB gets even better and better as you keep exploring. Everything was so pretty and had so much culture. The eating area was great, and the breakfast every morning was just what you needed to have a good start to your day. She also had a lovely terrace you can walk up to which offered a great view of the neighborhood. There were so many places in the BnB where you could just sit and enjoy being in Puerto Rico so you never felt like you were just stuck in your room if you were there.She also had so much beach gear that was up for grabs, plenty of beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards, sunscreen, etc. And to top it off, the beach was only a 3 minute walk from the front door. 3 minutes to the other side of the BnB was Calle Loiza, packed with so many bars and restaurants. We were also steps away from a 24/7 Convenient Store and minutes away from really cool cafes, restaurants, stores, and the going-out scene. However, it was never chaotic or loud on our street.All in all, our stay at Casa Isabel was beyond perfect. We were so happy during our entire stay and did not want to leave. I am going to miss the perfectly strong coffee, the yummy breakfast potatoes and eggs, and my daily fruit.

Sandra Callwood: Cerca del aeropuerto, por lo que Uber fue muy conveniente. La habitación era muy espaciosa y el desayuno caliente era muy bueno. Las tortillas se hicieron a pedido y eran bastante sabrosas. El personal fue muy amable y servicial. De hecho, volvimos solo para cenar en uno de los restaurantes del hotel, El Patio. La comida y las bebidas eran realmente buenas.

Tenía todo lo que necesitábamos. Los baños necesitan una renovación como lo están haciendo. Pagué más por una habitación de nivel superior y pensé en renovarla. Eso fue perturbador. Buen desayuno, no excelente pero incluido. Ojalá el estacionamiento fuera menor pero era conveniente. El servicio al cliente fue excelente y la hora feliz también.

Shawn DeCandia: The room was comfortable and well equipped. We had great water and city views from the balcony. The location was great, being very close to Condado and Old San Juan. There are many eateries, restaurants and scooter rentals for getting around. Front desk reception was very courteous and helpful. The included free parking spot is close by and a great perk to have for those with a vehicle.
Janet Jimenez: Good location. Clean and fully supplied with everything. Near the beach, food, highways and stores. No parking but the parking is a few min away. You could use Hilton which is super close but super expensive. Overall for 1 full week we spent 100 in parking. Host was quick to rectify issues and pleasant. Hope to return in a few months

The front desk is manned 24/7 by armed security who duals as the concierge when you arrive. They have to buzz you in past the lobby EVERY TIME .Posibilidad de caminar: Sitting right on the mouth of the Condado lagoon, this place is easy to walk to Condado hot spots or even better rent one of the scooters that are plentiful everywhere you go.

Tiffani Brown: My parents and I had an excellent dinner at Cana restaurant. The best meal of our 5 day vacation in Puerto Rico! Felix was our server and made us feel like family. He provided such warm service and made great meal suggestions. We had a relaxed dinner by the beach and stayed until closing. Never felt rushed and will be back for breakfast!

Madeleine San Martin: My husband and I come to Puerto Rico once a year, and we always make sure to book a day pass for a seaside cabana at the Fairmont el San Juan hotel pool. Today, we had Jorge Juan taking care of us at our cabana and the service was absolutely amazing! He made sure we had everything we needed throughout our 6 hour stay.
