Colleen Specht: WOW, this didn’t disappoint! More of a fixed price menu than a tasting menu, as you got the option to select a starter, appetizer, entree and dessert of your choice, and they also provided a second appetizer of a white bean truffle soup. Wine pairings were offered. We found their wine list to be excellent and selected a bottle of Gigondas plus a glass of Sauvignon Blanc to start. The food was excellent from start to finish with a beautiful presentation for each dish. Servers were attentive and polished. We enjoyed our experience tremendously and would return to San Juan just to eat here!Definitely worth a visit if you’ve got time in Old San Juan.
Shekinah Mateo: An unforgettable anniversary celebration at Marmalade in Old San Juan 🌟 From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance set the stage for a night of culinary excellence. We were given a VIP table, enhancing our special day from the start. The staff, led by the wonderful Ilieane, treated us like royalty. Each team member made it a point to stop by our table, offering warm anniversary wishes which made us feel incredibly special. The dining experience itself was nothing short of spectacular. Each course was a revelation of deep flavors, freshness, and quality that we’ve not encountered anywhere else in Puerto Rico or during our travels. The portions were surprisingly generous for a tasting menu, each dish crafted like a piece of art, culminating in a beautifully decorated dessert complete with a ‘Happy Anniversary’ chocolate plate. To make the evening even more memorable, the chef and staff presented us with a hand-signed card, beautifully illustrated, capturing the essence of their heartfelt service.Marmalade isn’t just a meal; it’s a full sensory experience that you truly have to see, taste, and feel for yourself. Whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or simply want to indulge in some of the finest dining Puerto Rico has to offer, Marmalade is an absolute must. It was worth every moment saved for this special occasion.
J M: . Definitely a fine dining experience in terms of service level & food presentation. I was wowed with every dish! Their signature white bean soup was OUT OF THIS WORLD. The floor manager
Ivan H: Amazing experience. The waiter from Chicago was fantastic. Food was amazing. Recommendations from the waiter were perfect.
Nereida Rodriguez: First time experience delicious food and the drinks 🍸 😋 👌🏽 😍
michells reece: My friend lauren looking for a nice spots to celebrate my birthday, and she choose this incredible place. It was one of the best meals we ever had! All of the food was amazing delicious and perfectly portioned. We loved all the concepts of a 5 course. Our server Illiane was so friendly and shes so beautiful and welcoming. All the staffs are so nice. Wonderful experience from the start to end with knowledgeable and helpful servers. Ive been to restaurants all over the world, and I cannot think of a better one than marmalade in San Juan Puerto Rico.

Christine Belin (Xtine Xploring): This was the best meal of our 7 day trip! The food was all so delicious from the amazing bread that they brought you to the amazing dessert souffle they cracked and poured chocolate in. I got the pork chop, and everyone was in awe when it came to the table, including the tables surrounding us. It was authentic to Puerto Rico, but elevated and oh so good. The cocktails were artfully & thoughtfully crafted with beautiful garnishes on all from beautiful flowers to yummy cookies. The service was warm and friendly, yet upscale. If you are looking for a cherry on the top of your trip for a meal, this is the spot. Mario Pagan's original concept is 100% worth making a reservation. Don't miss out!
Mila Cardoze: Let me start off letting you know that you definitely need a reservation to eat at this restaurant. The food here is so fresh and delicious! I’ve never had any cocktails made like this. The bartenders are amazing here. They’re entertaining to watch while they make their drinks. The chef food was out of this world I ordered the almond crusted chicken and the Seabass and it was so good. This place is definitely two thumbs up I will be coming back again!

Amy Benbarka: Can't believe I've missed out on this place! I visit Puerto Rico annually and generally love the food scene but I have someone missed this gem in Saturce. The cocktails are creative and strong, the menu is varied but not overwhelming and most importantly, everything we tried was absolutely delish. The vibe is chic and stylish even for the lunch hour when we visited. All around great experience and loved being about to support a local restauranteur.
Scott Marin: Servicio delicioso y gr8.Recomiendo encarecidamente el postelón.
Ricardo Castro: Creme de la creme!
John Jagneaux: Wow, just wow! What an amazing place This is! The food is absolutely delicious, the service is very professional and top-notch in the atmosphere Is elegant and romantic. Cocktails were the best around. The Pastalone Was my absolute favorite thing I ate on the island. The grilled octopus was just scrumptious. We let our waiter pick the dessert, Which was a Nutella sandwich covered in powdered sugar with vanilla ice cream. Couldn’t ask for a better experience! This place is a must when visiting San Juan!
Daya Mena: When I made the reservation, when we arrived and spoke to the host and then later when speaking to the server, I made clear that it was my partners birthday and requested birthday dessert with a candle. We never received nor were asked about dessert. It took us 40 minutes after our reservation to be able to place our order, and a couple seated next to us that arrived after us received their meal before we did. The food was phenomenal, but we wondered if the subpar service was because we were visibly queer. I’m disappointed and expected more from such a renowned eatery.

Big Country Sound: This is the single best and most memorable eating experience I've ever had. Chef Carlos is a true artist and his small team achieved extremely impressive stuff. I was continually amazed by all aspects of the experience, and as the meal went on I realized that not only is it a culinary experience, the whole curation of everything is like a piece of performance art.Purposefully slow - where else does that happen? Slow down and think about life. You will not go hungry but you will have plenty of time to enjoy the company of your loved ones or just chat with the amazing Carlos. I was nervous to go into the kitchen at first but once he brought me in there himself the experience really opened up - incredibly welcoming, informative, and entertaining. Also had a couple of the best wines I've ever had, I would absolutely urge you to go for the wine pairing as well.A cannot-miss experience if you're, in Carlos' words, a gastronomic traveller. I think about that night regularly and its been 4 months.
Liha Sanchez: From the moment we stepped into the restaurant, we knew we were in for a unique dining adventure. This experience was nothing short of spectacular. We were treated to over 20 exquisite courses. Each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing an incredible range of techniques and local flavors. What truly elevated the experience was the chef, Carlos Portela, himself personally serving and explaining several of the courses, adding a personal touch that made the evening even more special. The wine pairing was equally exceptional. The selections perfectly complemented each course, enhancing the flavors and creating a harmonious balance.Dining at Orujo is more than just a meal; it’s an experience. The thoughtful progression of courses, the engaging atmosphere, and the seamless service come together to create a night to remember. This is a journey through culinary artistry, worthy of every accolade and deserving of its five-star reputation.
Gabriel Hernandez: For an extraordinary dining experience in Puerto Rico, Orujo, led by the talented Chef Carlos, is a hidden gem that should not be missed. This exclusive restaurant offers over 20-course that is a true testament to culinary artistry.Chef Carlos masterfully blends local ingredients with innovative techniques, crafting each course to be a memorable experience for your palate. The attention to detail, from presentation to flavor combinations, ensures that every dish tells a story and takes you on a gastronomic journey. While Orujo is on the pricier side, the value you receive is exceptional. The 20-course meal is not just dinner—it’s a culinary adventure that showcases the best of Puerto Rican cuisine in a refined and intimate setting. If you’re looking to treat yourself to an unforgettable night out, Orujo is the perfect choice.
Abi VerValin: Not just a meal but a truly exquisite dining experience! Our chefs lead us through a spectacular menu and wine tasting — the plates had such a variety of tastes and textures, and the presentation was a feast for the eyes. We appreciated the subtlety of the dishes, the fresh local ingredients, and that we were invited into the kitchen to learn how it all came together. The setting is intimate which enhanced the meal and it was interesting to hear about a variety of wines as well. Thank you to the chefs!
Eliza Hecht: . There are 7 tables, I believe. The dishes are mismatched; the decor is super weird and there are projections on the wall of the records playing and the kitchen prep area. There are 3 people working - the head chef/owner, a chef cooking, and a sous chef/server. All were total characters and it was such a pleasure. Diners are encouraged to go into the kitchen and watch them cooking. We were there for 4 1/2 hours. There were 20 courses. There is a wine pairing that is really not optional - the owner kept pouring us wine. We were the drunkest we've been in at least a decade. I wound up talking about fertility with a complete stranger and smoked a cigarette for the first time in 6 years. It was so, so fun. I highly, highly recommend this experience if you are in San Juan. You will not regret it.
Pedro: Experiencia unica. Worth every penny.

Platos recomendados Bistec Encebollado …
Federico Mejía-Posada: Delicioso restaurante local y familiar.
¡Buen provecho!
Michelle Maloy: If you’re in Puerto Rico, you must try this spot! It was a fabulous find at the tail end of our trip. It is owned by a husband and wife and the home cooking is absolutely phenomenal. True authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. The liver iand onions was amazing and delicious and full of flavor. The steak was marinated and full of flavor with each bite…. It melts in your mouth! The salad was amazing and fresh as well. The whole fried red snapper was an absolute experience and a definite must try. The plantains were good as well. If you are in the area, don’t miss out. Be sure to visit this location. They also serve cocktails as well as wine and beer. There’s valet parking next-door as well as street parking available.
