Bhumika Saivamani: Nestled in the vibrant hotspot area near Columbus Square in Old San Juan, this restaurant caught our attention with its vegan options. It's one of the few places where we found vegan mofongo, which offered a truly unique taste experience.While the tofu dish was decent, I found it a bit bland. However, the accompanying rice was absolutely phenomenal, adding a burst of flavor to the meal. The guava pancakes were a delightful treat, offering a tasty twist on a classic dish. We also sampled the acerola juice, which was refreshingly good.Overall, our experience was positive, though I must admit it was a bit on the pricey side. Nevertheless, the unique vegan offerings and flavorful rice made it a worthwhile visit.
Lizabeth Wesely-Casella: This was the most amazing and unexpected meal! The best food we've had in Puerto Rico! Get the snapper with lemon, garlic, rosemary, and butter. It's too good to miss out on! The Mamposreo rice was delicious and the veg was perfection. I wish THIS Cafe Berlin was in my neighborhood in DC. I'd be there all the time! I'd give it 15 stars if I could.

Colleen Specht: WOW, this didn’t disappoint! More of a fixed price menu than a tasting menu, as you got the option to select a starter, appetizer, entree and dessert of your choice, and they also provided a second appetizer of a white bean truffle soup. Wine pairings were offered. We found their wine list to be excellent and selected a bottle of Gigondas plus a glass of Sauvignon Blanc to start. The food was excellent from start to finish with a beautiful presentation for each dish. Nimet Aytekin: Lovely place in the heart of old San Juan. The food was delicious but they were missing a couple of ingredients from the menu. The service was a bit slow and the server was not very fluent in the menu options. But the atmosphere was friendly. The owner came and talked to us later and gave us suggestions for places to see. He then offered us his umbrella in pouring rain and we took it. He said we could we keep it. Very nice guy!! The toilets definitely need better maintenance though.

Jay Fndz: Beautiful aesthetics and amazing service, excellent Piña Coladas the best in viejo San Juan for sure! Must visit. The manager Rafael was very accommodating and even though they were closed due to the Tropical Storm he still went ahead and had his server Jay serve us! Even had us come in and sit for the drinks. Kimberly Theora: The people are so friendly and passionate. Even when the power went out they went down the hall so that they could still serve some menu items. The tea menu is so long and the waffles are customizable. As someone who eats gluten-fre and dairy-free it was really nice to find the entire menu was available to me, not just a small section. Kristi Abreu: The absolute most wonderful experience! We were in Puerto Rico for 6 days and went twice it was so good. The owner explained his vision for an amazing waffle with top notch ingredients and he is so passionate about what he does that you can see it comes out in the food. I had 1/2 a crème brûlée waffle and it was delicious, warm, crunchy where they torched the top layer of sugar and creamy inside. My daughter had the whole Nutella waffle and it was so good she ate it all! My husband had the BLT and it was another home run. The iced matcha green tea was also very good, and the sangria to die for. When in old San Juan definitely come try it!

We came across this place by the other wonderful reviews and let me tell you, every bit of it is true! The owners were so welcoming and inviting. They explained the their why, which is perfect and how they came to be. They served the best coffee I think I have ever had and the meal was prepared to order. The ingredients are all fresh and they really take pride in what they do! Take it from me and the hundreds of others who recommend this place. I was able to take a piece of PR home in my heart. Thank you for what you do! You really helped my family truly enjoy a meal together! We talked about the different flavors of both savory and sweet and the coffee! If I could have, I would have tried everything on the menu!
