Harrison Logan: We were in old san juan for the day and looking for a lunch place and found this spot online. It's a perfectly acceptable restaurant with nothing to complain about, but nothing to write home about. We got a mofongo special with shrimp chicken and skirt steak which was good. Service was good. I don't think you'd be disappointed coming here realizing it's not trying to be the best spot in town

Bertrand Huybrechts: Look no further for an authentic Puerto Rican lunch at honest prices and great service. We wanted to have a taste for Puerto Rican cuisine and were more than impressed with Cafe Manolin. Located in a little side street but pretty easy to find you will immediately feel immersed with the locals in that great cafe/lunch spot. I went for the pina colada which was delicious because not too sweet and then we had the typical dish with snapper, rice, beans and plantains. As soon as we saw the rice and fish we knew it was gonna be great. Pro tip mix the beans with the rice as our server told us and it was so good. 16 dollars for a plate like that with a great piece of fish that was super fresh. Service was also top notch so will definitely be back. Thanks team

Alisa Roman: A place where the locals are many and the tourist very few. A have to stop whenever we make it to the coast.I would very much recommend breakfast. The breakfast sandwiches are cheap and simple. With such a simple menu you will find something even for the pickiest eater and the ingredients so fresh that no one will be able to complain. The bread being the highlight. The bread has a buttery crunch crust with a pillow soft inside.Dont go looking for a reason to dress up though, the chill food reflects the atmosphere. A nice start to or a break in the middle of a very hot sight seeing day. Be careful though, the breakfast is only served until 10:45. Though the lunch is just as GOOD, it is a bit more expensive.

Bill Shafer: We were walking around town and had a nice snack here March 2017

Jerry Simmons: We had a wonderful time. When we arrived, we were seated almost immediately. The servers were all pleasant, our waitress ‘Isabel’ was awesome and explained everything with recommendations. I live in the Northeast and will have to visit the Bronx, NY location. Looking forward to returning to PR. Thank you for a wonderful experience for my wife and I.

David G: Nice place, good food. Service was ok, just need to focus a little more on details.Estacionamiento: Old San Juan has very limited street parking. Be prepared to park and walk.

David Taylor: My wife and I were staying in Condado and wanted to have a nice dinner on a Sunday evening. We originally had a reservation for 9:00, then I received a text message from the restaurant, it said something to the effect that to due to some circumstances our reservation time had been changed to 8:15. It wasn't an issue for us, just pointing it out. The service is slow, but helpful, and I've come to expect that in PR. The food is very good, but at this price point, food excellence is expected. We had several starters and the chicharonnes were delicious. The mains were the guiso and fish of the day. The fish of day dish was fantastic and the guiso was okay.

Elizabeth Cruz: So let me start by saying this place was not easy to spot. My family and I were heading to dinner somewhere else and it was closed. I looked on the GPS for a closer restaurant and JEnrique popped up. When we walked there were few tables available. What I liked was that we were a party of 10 without reservations and they accommodated us right away. Food was super good and host was very nice. BTW, do not leave this place without trying their amazing “batata y mojo” By far the best side dish you can ever try. Will definitely come back to this spot when I come back to PR.

Elaine Lewis: and the Pastelon and they did not disappoint. The Pastelon was hands down so delicious with sweet, cheesy and savoury flavours coming together! I was in awe and so glad that I was able to pack half of it to take it home. Every aspect of my dinner experience was fantastic from the mocktails to the starters and apps and the main dish, even dessert. One suggestion: because everything on the menu looked fabulous, it would be awesome to have a tasting menu option with smaller portions but where you can get to try multiple things. As a solo traveller, I love being able to experience new cuisines that way! Personally I would pay good money for something that like.

Other items are huge servings like the Goat and the Carne Frita, which were both loved by the table. The octopus was very unique and the best I've ever had. Our service was very kind and they paid great attention to detail in terms of how the table felt and what we enjoyed. We came with an early reservation. Book a table if you go!

Pamela Mendez: I just want to start off by saying I NEVER write reviews on any restaurant but for Casita Miramar I HAD to! Casita Miramar has been the best restaurant I have been to in Puerto Rico! David Harris: The cafe was highly recommended by the hotel across the street, and I can see why. A small place with a big love of coffee. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The selection of local Puerto Rican coffees was small but sufficient. I would highly recommend the cafe to enjoy a great cup of coffee, a tea or a nice selection of pastries.

joel cleare: I came across this coffee by luck. A friend who doesn’t drink coffee received it as a gift from someone who was recently on a cruise to Puerto Rico. I absolutely love coffee and make it several different methods. Today I used a moka pot and the coffee was great ! I believe it’s the Lares variety. Whole bean. Taste like a medium / dark roast. Excellent find.

Skylar Dunning: Had quesitos and lattes. Both were amazing.I would give it 5 stars, but we went in wanting iced drinks and they did not have any cups for iced drinks so they could only serve hot drinks. They offered to give us a cup of ice and we could mix the hot drink into the cold ice on our own, but that sounded kind of weird, so we chose to do the hot lattes. It was 9:30am so I'm not sure if we came too early for iced drinks, or if they just ran out of cups and didn't restock.

Susy Wiggins: Platos recomendados Come for Great Cup of Coffee, Mocha Latte, Iced Latte, Drip Coffee, Roast, Espresso O e Island Banana Latte

Brian Cooper: Welcoming

Alvah Tyson Wickboldt Jr.: I visited this establishment twice during a recent vacation to Puerto Rico. Our first stop was with a group on a food tour. We were able to sample a delicious ham and melted cheese sandwich on croissant as well as espresso. It was so delicious, we went back the following morning to get coffee for the entire group. It is a popular place, but they produce the beverages relatively quickly. It’s also a great part of town for walking, sitting, and people watching. Leslie, I am a huge coffee snob, and this place delivers. Very nice espresso.

Zenaida Diaz: I had a yummy iced latte and my crew had cappuccino they loved it. We also tried their Brandy cake, guava coconut pastry and brownie all really good!Estacionamiento: Parked at Doña Fela it's right down the block.

Vanessa Candelaria: I only tried the cold brew and it was really well made.It had really great vibes and was decorated cute. The staff was friendly and I would definitely come back and try it again. It’s a convenient location and they have bathrooms available so a nice place to take a break from walking around San Juan.

Sergio Hernandez: . The Salmon Avocado toast was probably the best out of what we ordered. The Ham, Egg and Cheese sandwich was just too plain. Fresh Orange juice was good. Coffee was well prepared. Good place for a quick bite with decent prices I might say.

Sharon Tyler: Can’t wait for their crop to return to levels where they can sell their whole beans again. Until then, I love to stop in for a tomato jam and boursin toast. My daughter loves their salmon sandwiches. The interior courtyard is a quiet reprieve from the busy neighborhood. Friendly staff. I think this is a stop for some of the private tours as I often see groups going to the back to see how they sort and roast their beans. This place actually has peaberry quality if that matters to you.

The cocktails are creative and strong, the menu is varied but not overwhelming and most importantly, everything we tried was absolutely delish. The vibe is chic and stylish even for the lunch hour when we visited. All around great experience and loved being about to support a local restauranteur.

Scott Marin: Servicio delicioso y gr8.Recomiendo encarecidamente el postelĂłn.

Ricardo Castro: Creme de la creme!

John Jagneaux: Wow, just wow! What an amazing place This is! The food is absolutely delicious, the service is very professional and top-notch in the atmosphere Is elegant and romantic. Cocktails were the best around. The Pastalone Was my absolute favorite thing I ate on the island. The grilled octopus was just scrumptious. We let our waiter pick the dessert, Which was a Nutella sandwich covered in powdered sugar with vanilla ice cream. Couldn’t ask for a better experience! This place is a must when visiting San Juan!

Daya Mena: When I made the reservation, when we arrived and spoke to the host and then later when speaking to the server, I made clear that it was my partners birthday and requested birthday dessert with a candle. We never received nor were asked about dessert. It took us 40 minutes after our reservation to be able to place our order, and a couple seated next to us that arrived after us received their meal before we did. The food was phenomenal, but we wondered if the subpar service was because we were visibly queer. I’m disappointed and expected more from such a renowned eatery.

More of a fixed price menu than a tasting menu, as you got the option to select a starter, appetizer, entree and dessert of your choice, and they also provided a second appetizer of a white bean truffle soup. Wine pairings were offered. We found their wine list to be excellent and selected a bottle of Gigondas plus a glass of Sauvignon Blanc to start. The food was excellent from start to finish with a beautiful presentation for each dish. Servers were attentive and polished. We enjoyed our experience tremendously and would return to San Juan just to eat here!Definitely worth a visit if you’ve got time in Old San Juan.

We were given a VIP table, enhancing our special day from the start. The staff, led by the wonderful Ilieane, treated us like royalty. Each team member made it a point to stop by our table, offering warm anniversary wishes which made us feel incredibly special. The dining experience itself was nothing short of spectacular. Each course was a revelation of deep flavors, freshness, and quality that we’ve not encountered anywhere else in Puerto Rico or during our travels. The portions were surprisingly generous for a tasting menu, each dish crafted like a piece of art, culminating in a beautifully decorated dessert complete with a ‘Happy Anniversary’ chocolate plate. To make the evening even more memorable, the chef and staff presented us with a hand-signed card, beautifully illustrated, capturing the essence of their heartfelt service.Marmalade isn’t just a meal; it’s a full sensory experience that you truly have to see, taste, and feel for yourself.
