Kate Madden: I had a great experience with Spectrum Surf School. I've taken surf lessons in a lot of different countries and I found my Spectrum instructor, Marcian, to be top notch compared to others I've surfed with. He really paid attention, helped me improve and was very positive. Spectrum made it easy to set up the lesson over text msg and picked out the right surf spot and board for my ability on the first try. I love that the lessons are 1:1 and they move spots based on conditions and your ability. Would definitely recommend.

JK Elkins: Had an incredible time taking private lessons. The team was great at communicating booking, location, and timing. The instructor did a terrific job explaining the mechanics and making sure we were able to catch several waves, even with some tricky accommodations. Hell of a good time!
Collin Hawkins: I took my six year old twins who are not confident swimmers. My son actually clung to me at the beginning of the lesson. The instructors were so kind, positive and great with kids that he didn't want to stop at the lesson's end. This was my favorite memory in PR and one of the only Google reviews I've ever written. Ana Fernandez: This was an amazing experience. The staff is wonderful and I recommend them for a surf lesson. If you happen to have a child with autism like I do- this is a MUST. They offer FREE lessons once a month and the joy from your child will make it the greatest afternoon ever!

Sidney Hollowell: Had surfing lessons with my girlfriend and I. Highly recommend. Ale is very informative and a great coach. Went from zero surfing experience to catching multiple waves in only an hour and half. The lessons were so fun so make sure to get a lesson if you鈥檙e visiting San Juan.

andrew adapon: Visited PR on vacation. Had the pleasure of taking lessons from Jose. I鈥檝e surfed before but only at a beginner level. Jose helped me with a lot of great tips to elevate my skills and had me paddling on my own and gave encouraging feedback on surfing. Also had great conversations with him in the water and he gave some good recommendations for my visit.

He is very patient and not only tells you what you should do, but is very hands on and corrects your form with each attempt so you learn faster. It was very fun and we didn鈥檛 want the lesson to end!

They're excellent teachers, offering really good tips and tailored advice, and we learned so much in each session. I'd definitely take more lessons with them if I were staying longer!

I cannot recommend this highly enough.I had never surfed before, and after having me practice my balance and teaching me some technique on land, we headed into the water. He did a great job of picking waves, giving me enough pointers to improve without overwhelming me, and building my confidence. I was surfing little waves in no time and can't wait to try it again! After the lesson, he kindly offered to drop me back off where I was staying. He was a fun, professional, and attentive instructor who I would highly recommend.

Jaime Wright: I had an amazing session with Christian, one of the Surf With A Pro鈥檚 instructors. I鈥檓 an intermediate surfer and Christian met me at my skill set. He gave me a few pointers that will help me elevate my surfing. When I first got to Puerto Rico, I was considering surfing on my own. I have experience with surfing, but I didn鈥檛 have much knowledge of the local breaks. Christian taught me a lot and inspired me to come back to PR.
Tina Nazario: had never surfed before and Alejandro had us standing up on the board on the first session!! He is an excellent instructor with a lot of patience and teaching experience that made it a no brainer for us to continue taking classes. He has an AMAZING reputation in Puerto Rico. Every person in the surfer community knows and respects him greatly. As we've progressed he's taken us to a different beach to match our level and work towards improving. We blindly recommend him to children, adults, beginners, or intermediates. He took us from being terrified of surfing to being passionate and excited to get in the water every day.
