No easy task day after day.Anyone who owns an older house can understand the contemporary character and beauty of the place reflects a history and the lives that move through it—something that corporate hotels deliberately attempt to erase from their properties. Guests who want a quiet neighborhood inn with practical accommodation and good folks and good local food will enjoy the Windchimes.Much thanks to Ricardo for assisting us with a family emergency one night during our stay and deep gratitude to Ana for her hospitality.A few tips to guests considering a stay here:1. The staff is fully bilingual, AND you can learn some Spanish phrases to greet these good people and express your good faith as a visitor in their linguistic space. Go ahead. Click on google translate and learn how to say: “Good morning/afternoon/evening” and “Thank you” and “pardon me.” Paying for a room doesn’t mean any of us visitors are entitled to demand an English-only space2. Talk to the staff. Ask how their day is going. We can all show some needed kindness and love these days. Doing so shows that a place to rest is a community space not just a destination3. Ask for what you need. None of the staff can help if we don’t ask. And ask with care and patience4. Enjoy the pool!5. Clean up your messes. It’s a hotel not our mama’s house. We can’t be expecting someone to follow behind us and pick up toys and trash6. Take advantage of the local beach. We were here during the week and it was quiet, uncrowded, and breezy. We visited some of the beaches in fancier areas—none were more beautiful and all were way more crowded than the strip just a short walk away from the Chimes.We’ll definitely be back! Lisa Quach: Stayed in Room 1111 mid-July. The room had 2 double beds. Bathroom tub could use an upgrade but everything else was clean. The balcony was private and the oceanfront room had an amazing view. Housekeeping came everyday:For elite members, you can go next to the lobby to get water, soda, chips during the day from concierge. You can choose between points or breakfast coupon… the coupon is for the buffet at the restaurant next to the pool area. There is an omelet bar, fruits, meats & cheese, pastries, bacon, sausage, quinoa, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, and some other things… it’s not like an all-inclusive resort breakfast but it was not bad at all. Included mimosas. On Friday night, there was also a cocktail hour event for elite members in the lobby/bar. They provided small items as sliders and desserts. Parking for elite members is also reduced. The valet parking guys are soooo nice!They have a schedule of events such as movie night or s’mores…The staff was wonderful. They gave me a small bottle of wine in a gift bag when I mentioned it was my birthday.The casino bar is open until 3am and Angel is one of the best bartenders ever. Makes a really good Miami Vice too! They will give you $30 “match” coupon… go to service desk and they’ll give you what looks like Monopoly money and you can use with your cash to make a bet… gotta spend money to make money.Location: nearby restaurants… there’s a variety within walking distance… for late night, dulce la vida and the spot next door is open until 4am… there is also a Walgreens and 24hour store next the hotel so you can always buy what you need… including liquor. They stop selling liquor at 2am!There are people on the beach to set up chairs for you. You can order food and they’ll bring it to you. Card or Room charge only. There’s also a guy who sells these pineapple slush things inside a pineapple, it’s $20 with liquor and completely worth it!!!Would only stay here if I came back to PR.

Celebrando 30 años con mi Hermosa Reina, pasamos un tiempo fabuloso, el SVC fue excelente, el acceso a la playa fue increíble con protección de seguridad, lo cual fue bueno ver que tenían todas las comodidades que se publicaron... Solo 1 inconveniente Registro RETRASADO . Pero definitivamente volveremos a visitarlo.

Brandon Cleaver: Outstanding experience. The staff was completely awesome. There were a few minor things that came up. But was well overlooked. I wish I remembered everyone’s name who helped. My only complaint was eating outside for breakfast, was a bad experience especially for the price, but they have a bakery inside which I do recommend. They gave us an oceanfront upgrade. That was very much appreciated. Overall amazing experience. One thing that is undeniable was the housekeeping service was outstanding. Absolute kudos to the housekeeping team. The hotel felt very clean and safe!

Tiffani Brown: My parents and I had an excellent dinner at Cana restaurant. The best meal of our 5 day vacation in Puerto Rico! Felix was our server and made us feel like family. He provided such warm service and made great meal suggestions. We had a relaxed dinner by the beach and stayed until closing. Never felt rushed and will be back for breakfast!

Christine Shoyinka: We had the most wonderful experience! Not only were we in awe of the hotel, pool and beach, the entertainment was also spectacular! Olga Abreu took wonderful care of our room. She was so sweet and kind. Olga did all she could to make us feel comfortable and at home. We were very blessed to have amazing people taking care of us. Mara, another staff member took care of us like family. This was our kids’ first time in Puerto Rico. They will have these wonderful memories forever.

Ambas me trataron super bien y quedé super complacida, ambas son super chulas y amables..Tienen que ir donde ellas si o si, las dejarán bellas con las actividades que realizan… Por otro lado, la estancia en el lugar ha sido muy agradable! La piscina muy relax y el clima ayudó mucho.. La comida super buena y todos muy atentos…
