Sitio Histórico de San Juan: what do users think?

Kitty Starr: Great views and lots to see. We even saw some iguana sun bathing while we were there. A lot of walking will be in direct sunlight, so bring sunscreen and a parasol. There is a place to fill your water bottle on the drinking fountain outside of the lavatories.

Jason Burgos: So much scenery, culture and food in San Juan. Beautiful old city with original structures. Recommend for all to come. I will return 100 times over.

Lauren Treanor: My boyfriend and I came to PR for vacation and knew we wanted to do a food tour in Old San Juan to experience all the flavors the culture has to offer. Our food tour hosted by Marjorie was an absolutely incredible experience from start to finish! Not only were each of the food stops amazing, but Marjorie made a point to educate us on the Puerto Rican culture and history of Old San Juan. I highly recommend this food tour and Marjorie as the tour guide as she was an angel! We each left with a barriga llena, corazón contento!

tiffany olson: . She was very friendly and was a great source of information on the history and culture of PR. I loved learning about the Taino people, about the Spanish colonies, and how the island became a commonwealth of the US.The food was plentiful and sooooo delicious! We were able to see different areas that we visited after the tour. Gwen also gave us some really good recommendations on where to go for drinks.Thank you for such a great experience!

glen wolford: Alberto was a TON of fun! Very knowledgable on Puerto Rican history! Highly recommend on day one of your trip to Puerto Rico!

Kim Coleman: This was our favorite tour of our trip. Leslie Ann was very welcoming and knowledgeable. San Juan is lovely & the food and history really made this a well rounded experience.

Amy Dunlap: Nahiomy was an amazing tour guide. She was well versed in all the locations she showed us around Old San Juan. She allowed us to enjoy not only the main tourist points, but also some of the hidden local gems, such as the Puerto Riccan ice shop for a refreshing treat. She answered all of our questions and was happy to capture several pictures of us along the way. Even once the two hours were up, Nahiomy continued walking with us back toward our hotel, offering suggestions for places to go for dinner and nightlife. The next day after the tour she followed up with a list of the places that we had seen, as well as offered for us to reach out during the rest of our time in Puerto Rico if we had questions about things to do or places to visit. She was a fantastic tour guide and we appreciated our time with her.

Dave Payne: Beautiful Fort Worth stopping at to see the Spanish construction.

Harrison Logan: El Morro was a fantastic visit. The informational boards around the fort did a great job of telling the history starting with the Spanish through the Spanish American war and into the current day. Because this is such an old site, it does not have the modern conveniences that buildings have today like elevators and normal size stairs and inclines, so be prepared for that. It also is all outside, so be prepared for hot and/or rainy weather. The sights from the fort are beautiful, giving a great vantage point to see the san juan harbor and old san juan. Totally worth a visit!

Tresser Neal: This was a semi hidden gem. The open mic sign quickly caught our attention, so we decided to pop in, and we are so glad we did! It was the most amazing experience. To see a 5 love story and meet the woman who experienced all made it surreal. Lady, thank you for holding this space and sharing it with the world. We all could be a bit more inspired by an agape love!

Daniel Borkowski: If places have souls, then this place has an ancient one. A vibrant and extremely creative space, I would highly recommend going to the Tuesday night open mic nights. The owner facilitates a truly unique and special place for anyone who is a lover of the arts.

Nima Tabrizi: Amazing

Juliana Landsman: the best gallery we’ve ever stumbled upon! the most soulful gorgeous art and poetry in a cozy space

Demitri Taveras: I cannot stop thinking of this place. This little artistic pocket in Puerto Rico feels like home, my heart feels full knowing that the strangers I met here, felt more like family for a night. It healed pieces of me I didn’t know needed healing. Thank you. 🙏During the open mic an amazing artist drew my partner and I which was so special.

Turtle Massey: Very lovely place hosted by wonderful people. I enjoyed how the entrance is set up. Had a wonderful conversation with a gentleman working on bookbinding. It's a must visit any and every time in San Juan.

Abrazo

Crystal Raso: One of the best open mic’s I have ever been to! The love, the community, the art is unparalleled. Lady Lee created an oasis in Paradise.

Haven Bermudez: Beyond magical. This place radiates love and if you’re lucky enough to experience an open mic, you'll never forget Poets Passage. Thank you Lady & Nico, you’ll see me and Dylan again in the future 3

Julie Schroeder: I have been working in San Juan for a year and I can still say this is my favorite place in San Juan. By far. And, I'm so excited, tonight was my first night doing a poetry reading at their open mic night. It took a year for me to gather the courage, but everyone is so accepting and genuine it made it easier than I thought it would be. Thank you for creating such an inviting place. If you want to read, or sing, or play an instrument, or do comedy, or anything else I haven't thought of, do it. Don't wait a year like I did. Come to the open mic night on Tuesday and share your passion and heart with this amazing community.

Edmundo Z: You can come and admire painted art and written poems placed thru the entire gallery at your leisure and without any pressure whatsoever whether you purchase or just browse. We bought a few things because we could not help ourselves with so many artsy and cute things.

Wade Brinton: I had no intentions of buying art while in Old San Juan, but this little store caught my little artistic hearts attention. You can walk through the exhibit for free and there are plenty of pieces to stare at for thirty plus minutes. I ultimately did exit through the gift shop, and bought prints for the whole family. I love the concept and art work. If you have an inkling of artist in you then you must drop by.

Alexis Guschel: beautiful work! gorgeous paintings and beautiful poetry. very worth checking out when visiting viejo san juan.
