Core Explosion Fitness: This is a really nice place. They really take good care of you the unfortunate portion of this location as that they really offer mostly high-end skates nothing really under $200 but the customer service is amazing and apparently the super cute dog that also works there.

Jo Ubi: The service is top-notch and the store is very well stocked. Good place to look for skates for kids, adults, beginners or competitive skaters. A little pricey but I'll always support local stores vs. buying online just to save a few bucks. I know if I have a prob they'll respond without having to jump through insane hoops. Recommended and I'll return.

Caleb Principe: Visited Playero Surf Shop in Calle Loiza while on a short visit here in Puerto Rico. They have a great variety of surf brands that we know plus their own Playero branded clothing. I purchased hoodies for both of my sons and one for myself. These technical hoodies seem expensive but they’re made of the same material as the major brand from Baltimore, MD. If you compare prices, it’s in the same range with the exception that they have the Playero graphic designs. Same great quality as back in 1977, they last a very long time. Full disclosure, I grew up here in Isla Verde and this was the T-Shirt to have back then. I’ve had Playero T-shirts, short and long sleeve, which lasted for many years. The quality is the same and so are the graphic designs. The hoodie I bought for myself is the vintage graphic design from the original long sleeve, Playero stamp on the left breast pocket, and stamp on the lower right sleeve. You can imagine the fond memories that came back when I saw it hanging on the rack….And, like-father-like son, my older son is now a Playero fan. He bought himself a full kit of swimsuit, T-Shirt, had, and other accessories while we were here on vacation this Summer..So, whether you are an old-timer like me or just visiting Puerto RIco, if you’re into surfing or the beach, you need to get yourself some of this gear, just like people who visit Hawaii get their surfing mementos. Give them a visit while you’re here. You will not be disappointed!
Ruth Hartman: . But I wear a medium men's shirt and xl board shorts so I did find some good stuff. Prices start around 65 and go up from there. Lady at the counter was very nice. If you're normal size and want a big selection of swimwear and don't mind spending a bit more this is a good place. Noted that they sell other brands like body glove and hurley at the retail price without a big markup.

Marina Soucy: I love this shop! I came for the first time 2 years ago and bought 2 bathing suits that I still wear now. I recently went and bought my new favorite pair of earrings and beach romper. What’s great is that they also sell regular clothes. My fiancé got a really funky button down that he doesn’t want to take off, haha. We’ll be going back soon!
