Antonio and Fernando were incredibly helpful. At Kumo, we fell in love with our new server, Dulce. GiGi took great care of us on the beach, and Raphael was always a professional, happy to see us, and we him! The beach attendant, Jose, worked really hard to ensure our comfort, and he earned every gratuity. in 12 years, we have been to Puerto Rico 13 times with 11 stays at San Juan Water Beach Club Hotel. We can't wait to come back.

The pool staff was great - providing treats to guests while they enjoyed the pool. Breakfast buffet was great. In room amenities are great. All around a great place to stay and have a break from real life.

The details and ammenities are everywhere in this hotel and that really took it to the next level for me. Pools are beautiful and well taken care of. Manuel from the pool was really great. Jeff Ramsey: I looked at many Google reviews before our visit. I would like to say thanks for all your help. We met up with friends at Condado Vanderbilt to celebrate our birthdays. Let me say booking thru my AMEX Platinum card was a great deal. Breakfast buffet for two daily. Ends around 11 am daily. The value alone for the buffet for two was $100.00. Plus we were able to check in at Noon, if available. We couldn't as our room wasn't ready. Late check out at 4pm. Plust $125.00 resort credit to use for food or drink. We had a Commodore Ocean Front suite which was very nice. Two balconies. PLUS, we had our own butler. Enma, our butler was FANTASTIC!! He emailed me a few days before our trip letting us know he would be our butler and asked if we needed any help. I asked for him to help us arrange ground transportation to and from airport. NOTE, BAHIA Transportation was nice, etc. but was expensive. $110.00 to the Hotel which was about a 15 min ride. Our driver did not lift one finger to help me with my luggage, which we had two large suitcases and two carry ons. I pulled my back the day before so this wasn't good. I asked Enma after arriving to cancel our ride back and got an UBER Black to take us back at the cost of $24.00. Would recommend UBER Black for transportation. Anyway, back to hotel. The staff was so GREAT!! I mean best staff anywhere we have stayed. We have stayed at many fine hotels, Ritz, Intercontinental, Willard in DC,etc. They didn't have no in their vocabulary. When we celebrated my birthday on a Saturday, my wife reached out to Enma, our butler for help. He set up the room while we were at the pool with a bday cake, balloons, plates for charcuterie board my wife wanted to prepare, 8 champagne glasses, as well as a bottle of champagne on ice!!! I didn't see any charge either on my bill for all this. My wife wanted to tip him specifically for this occasion, so she found him and gave him a tip. Victor, working the entrance area of hotel was spectacular. Made sure to greet me by name every time we entered or left hotel. Paiulo, hostess in buffet was so great in making sure we got what we needed in the restaurant where the buffet was. Amid made spectacular omelets for us at the omelet station. Enma, our butler was very instrumental in checking in during our stay seeing how were were doing via text. Like having your own assistant. He was very helpful giving us ideas on restaurants of what we were looking for, then he would call and make our reservations for us and confirm back to me time, etc. Ropa Vieja was one of our favorites. Tayzan, Chinese, Sushi, and PR food was not great. I would not go back. Serafina, next door to CVH was awesome as well. Great walking distance to Marriott Stellaris Casino. LaConcha Casino didn't do it for us. Highly recommend the walk to Stellaris. Also, there is a market right across the street called H & R Food and Liquors that has a quite a bit of selection of liquor/beer, as well as food items and prepared food such as sandwiches prepackaged. We had a nice sub zero smaller fridge in our room as well as a nice ice maker. Nespresso type machine that uses the pods which were provided. Alto Grando was the pods of choice. The cigar lounge was quite small as I generally sat outside to smoke a cigar once in a while. Tacos and Tequila was good as well. They gave me and my wife both a margarita on the day of my birthday. The pool drinks were awesome. Condado Express was our favorite. Medalla Beer is awesome as well. Low carb with great taste. Airport Duty Free Store sells liquor, beer, and coffee on your way out so you can take home some treasures. Alto Grande coffee was our favorite. Again, CVH was spectacular stay. We want to go back again soon. Knowing what we know now, wouldn't change a thing. Was so relaxing and again, STAFF WAS SPECTACULAR!!!

Jennifer Zapata: Gran hotel cerca de restaurantes, playa bonita piscina. La habitación era una sala de estar con un sofá cama y un dormitorio con 2 camas matrimoniales. Muy cómodo. Tenía todo lo que necesitábamos. Los baños necesitan una renovación como lo están haciendo. Pagué más por una habitación de nivel superior y pensé en renovarla. Eso fue perturbador. Buen desayuno, no excelente pero incluido. Ojalá el estacionamiento fuera menor pero era conveniente. El servicio al cliente fue excelente y la hora feliz también.

The hotel staff were so helpful and kind.I highly recommend staying at this hotel.Please give Greg & Paola a raise! They were both pinnacle examples of what customer service should be. The housekeeping staff was also very friendly and did an amazing job.

William Sanchez (Wimaya): I recently stayed at a wonderful suite that provided an excellent experience. The room offered great privacy and was impeccably clean. The fresh and pleasant scent of the room was immediately noticeable upon entering. The suite was well-equipped with all necessary amenities and had a studio-like design, perfect for a relaxing stay. It was incredibly cozy, with a comfortable air conditioner that worked perfectly. The floors and overall decor were impressive, adding to the charm of the room.However, there was a minor inconvenience with the room. A small light on the fire alarm flashed intermittently, which could be slightly bothersome when trying to sleep. Despite this, it was a minor issue in an otherwise delightful room.The stay included breakfast, which, although not served piping hot, was warm and tasted good. The secure parking was another highlight, as I often worry about parking lots, but this one exceeded my expectations with its safety and convenience.One downside was the hotel's elevator situation. With only one working elevator and a maximum capacity of four people, there was often a wait time of five to ten minutes to get to and from the room. This was a bit frustrating but manageable.The rooftop restaurant was another point of interest. It boasted a beautiful setting and luxurious ambiance, making it very popular and requiring reservations. The menu was on the expensive side, with the cheapest dish priced between $30 to $40, so be prepared to spend a bit more. Unfortunately, I didn't get the chance to dine there due to the need for prior reservations, but it looked amazing.Despite these minor issues, my overall experience was fantastic. The nights were quiet, the bed was wonderfully soft, and I definitely plan to return. This suite offers a blend of comfort, cleanliness, and convenience that makes it a top choice for a relaxing getaway.

Brie W: First and foremost, the staff were amazing. Specifically, Paola and Edgardo. At the front desk. The room is basically an apartment. It was spacious and clean. The hotel is close to a beach and food and nightlife.Now for the truth. The breakfast that is included is ok. Not anything to brag about. They deliver it to you so its a nice breakfast in bed.The infinity pool is small and really only big enough to put your feet in. So if you are looking for more, I would look at other options.The staff at the rooftop bar were all wonderful. Special shout to Sunny and the GM Miguel.Will for sure come back.

They do this in part by offering unlimited free drinks to anyone playing. It should be noted if you play blackjack the style is non traditional in terms of the way the dealer deals out the cards

Christine Shoyinka: We had the most wonderful experience! Not only were we in awe of the hotel, pool and beach, the entertainment was also spectacular! Olga Abreu took wonderful care of our room. She was so sweet and kind. Olga did all she could to make us feel comfortable and at home. We were very blessed to have amazing people taking care of us. Mara, another staff member took care of us like family. This was our kids’ first time in Puerto Rico. They will have these wonderful memories forever.

Madeleine San Martin: My husband and I come to Puerto Rico once a year, and we always make sure to book a day pass for a seaside cabana at the Fairmont el San Juan hotel pool. Today, we had Jorge Juan taking care of us at our cabana and the service was absolutely amazing! He made sure we had everything we needed throughout our 6 hour stay. He was super kind and communicative, and he helped to make our day a great one! Thank you Jorge Juan!

Lisa Quach: Stayed in Room 1111 mid-July. The room had 2 double beds. Bathroom tub could use an upgrade but everything else was clean. The balcony was private and the oceanfront room had an amazing view. Housekeeping came everyday:For elite members, you can go next to the lobby to get water, soda, chips during the day from concierge. You can choose between points or breakfast coupon… the coupon is for the buffet at the restaurant next to the pool area. There is an omelet bar, fruits, meats & cheese, pastries, bacon, sausage, quinoa, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, and some other things… it’s not like an all-inclusive resort breakfast but it was not bad at all. Included mimosas. On Friday night, there was also a cocktail hour event for elite members in the lobby/bar. They provided small items as sliders and desserts. Parking for elite members is also reduced. The valet parking guys are soooo nice!They have a schedule of events such as movie night or s’mores…The staff was wonderful. They gave me a small bottle of wine in a gift bag when I mentioned it was my birthday.The casino bar is open until 3am and Angel is one of the best bartenders ever. Makes a really good Miami Vice too! They will give you $30 “match” coupon… go to service desk and they’ll give you what looks like Monopoly money and you can use with your cash to make a bet… gotta spend money to make money.Location: nearby restaurants… there’s a variety within walking distance… for late night, dulce la vida and the spot next door is open until 4am… there is also a Walgreens and 24hour store next the hotel so you can always buy what you need… including liquor. They stop selling liquor at 2am!There are people on the beach to set up chairs for you. You can order food and they’ll bring it to you. Card or Room charge only. There’s also a guy who sells these pineapple slush things inside a pineapple, it’s $20 with liquor and completely worth it!!!Would only stay here if I came back to PR.

Brandon Cleaver: Outstanding experience. The staff was completely awesome. There were a few minor things that came up. But was well overlooked. I wish I remembered everyone’s name who helped. My only complaint was eating outside for breakfast, was a bad experience especially for the price, but they have a bakery inside which I do recommend. They gave us an oceanfront upgrade. That was very much appreciated. Overall amazing experience. One thing that is undeniable was the housekeeping service was outstanding. Absolute kudos to the housekeeping team. The hotel felt very clean and safe!

David Njoroge: Alojarnos en el hotel Dreamcatcher fue nada menos que un sueño para mi esposa y para mí en nuestro viaje de aniversario en julio. La intencionalidad y el pensamiento al diseñar el hotel son impresionantes. El vecindario también se siente muy seguro como turista para hospedarse y tener libertad para explorar otro gran lugar en la isla. Para un hotel de 3 estrellas, este lugar te dejará boquiabierto. Jessi Medina: This location is amazing. The whole vibe of the Dreamcatcher is top tier. Beautiful rooms, awesome location within walking distance of the beach and plenty of spectacular dining options. The experiences we booked through the Dreamcatcher were also great. We booked a rainforest hike, a massage, and a snorkeling trip and each of them were perfect. All of the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The chefs also make amazing breakfast options if you don't feel like heading into town and getting breakfast.

Citlalli G.: Staying here was a dream! The service and location cannot be beat. I loved the proximity to the beach. The room itself with comfy enough for 2 people to share. Our room had an outdoor shower that was so fun! There are about 3-5 different breakfast spots within 2 blocks that were so nice to be able to access. I felt safe the entire time I stayed here and would definitely stay here again!

Michael DiNunzio: The place is located in a gated community but this area is very clean and organized. The surrounding areas is safe like all PR. The beach is 1 min down the street the place gives you chairs and towels. The only issue we had was the AC wasn't working when we got there. They did fix with no problems things do happen. The young lady at night she is very nice and helpful with a great attitude.Parking is on the street so be ready to find a spot. Plenty of restaurants and things to do around this place.Get out of San juan and enjoy the views especially the caves.One thing they do their own trips to the rainforest and Giovanni is the best. He took us through the rivers and we got to do a concert in his vehicle that me and my wife will never forget. Thanks for that experience. Monty Hall: ¡¡Esto está en una ubicación EXCELENTE en el Viejo San Juan!! Caminando a todo lo que esta zona tiene para ofrecer. El lugar es hermoso con entrada muy segura y entrada a la habitación... hablando de habitaciones, eso es lo que obtienes, una habitación. Era similar al dormitorio de una casa. Se puede oír a la gente en el pasillo y a otras personas en otras habitaciones al otro lado del pasillo. Esto podría deberse a que mi habitación está justo en la planta baja y en el pasillo principal junto a la entrada jajaja. No nos molestó porque somos noctámbulos y madrugadores, pero pude ver cómo podría molestar a algunos. Ciertas habitaciones como la que yo tenía NO serían para una familia, pero hay suites en el piso de arriba. Me encantaron las áreas comunes con una pequeña cocina, máquina expendedora, café y un cómodo ambiente tropical en el interior. Debo decir que la ubicación de este hotel compensa cualquier inconveniente de querer explorar el Viejo San Juan. El costo mínimo para llegar a Condado Beach, o a los clubes nocturnos La Placita y otros restaurantes en New San Juan costaba entre $ 6 y 7 por trayecto, cada vez, ¡y aproximadamente 13 minutos! Así que fui al "centro", a la ciudad alegre que suele ser por las noches y me relajé durante los días disfrutando de la belleza y la cultura del Viejo San Juan. Definitivamente recomendaría Fortaleza Suites para parejas como nosotros. ¡DEBES ir al Hotel Casablanca justo al otro lado de la calle para desayunar!Seguridad: Tiene una puerta con cerradura automática a las 4 p.m. con códigos individuales para ingresar desde la calle, hay una peluquería adjunta a la recepción, que luego hay otra puerta con cerradura automática con entrada con llave antes de ingresar a los pasillos del hotel. Cada habitación tiene una caja de seguridad en la que se encuentra su llave con códigos individuales, luego tiene la llave de su habitación. Extra seguro jajaja

Elena Delavega: Beautiful hotel in the best location in Old San Juan. Lovely and safe street close to everything. There is free wifi, free coffee in the morning and a kitchen the guests can use. There is a lovely sitting area that is super comfortable and pleasant. The hotel is clean and there is someone at reception 24 hours a day. No hay mucho espacio de almacenamiento, pero solo estuvimos allí 2 noches y podríamos haberlo hecho funcionar si fuera necesario. No estoy seguro de si contarías esto como una estafa, ¡mi mamá y yo lo encontramos divertido! ¡En nuestra habitación había una ventana esmerilada que descubrimos que daba al pasillo en nuestro último día! La televisión no funcionaba, pero en general la habitación estaba limpia y era cómoda. Pasamos un rato en la azotea pero no usamos los jacuzzis. El desayuno del restaurante era bueno. Tuvimos un buen servicio por parte de los camareros y de la recepción. Excelente ubicación para explorar el viejo San Juan. Disfrutamos nuestra estancia. Vale el precio.

Michael Laguardia: Este es el mejor albergue por primera vez.Viajar solo. Cece: Excelente ubicación a poca distancia de una hermosa playa y excelentes restaurantes. Luché con el área de la cocina interior y exterior con los insectos constantes y tuve que deshacerme de algunos artículos que se infestaron. El personal hace todo lo posible por los huéspedes, especialmente David y Jordan, quienes quieren asegurarse de que todos se sientan bienvenidos y tengan una excelente estadía. Diría que me encantaría volver algún día, ¡pero no estoy seguro de si sería lo mismo sin ellos!

itsalljones: This is a great place.. Location was wonderful .. right on the beach.. beautiful views.. Service was as expected.. and the beds were very comfortable.. I had difficulty with the in room coffee pot.. and was a little disappointed that the balcony didn't have room for a chair.. and we parked in a lot across the street . We used some reward points to pay for 3 day stay.. So the minor inconveniences weren't a big deal.. Though, if I had paid the regular price with cash, I might have been a little ticked, lol . J Roland: This hotel is great for a girls trip, a romantic getaway, or even for a family trip. The hotel is situated close to several convenience, stores and chain restaurants. The pool is large and has several shaded areas and the beach offers, complementary chair and umbrellas for guest as they arrive. The food at the bar and at the on-site restaurant may not be the best you’ll get in San Juan, but it’ll do the job before you head out to get some of the local fare!

Katherine VM: I stayed at the Royal Sonesta, San Juan in late July of 2024. It was the best hotel experience I had in Puerto Rico. The room was spectacular, clean, comfortable, and an amazing view. They thought of everything. From the beach to the parking, everyone was super helpful, friendly and accommodating. The pictures don’t do it justice. You can stay on the premises and have a great vacation but it is such a beautiful island 🏝️ you have to venture out. The area is lively, plenty of attractions nearby and the airport is close so no worries there. I give it a 10/10,. would do it again. and again.Habitaciones: The rooms have city or ocean view. They are roomy, and have a refrigerator in them. The showers have rainfall shower and the decor is up to date. The beds are comfortable and it seems quiet, I didn’t hear my neighbors at all. The decor is modern and up date. It is a luxurious place.Actividades cerca de mi ubicación: Fajardo is where you can take a ferry to the nearby islands such as Culebra and Vieques. Definitely worth booking in advance. It’s an amazing experience. Also check Indian caves, all these activities are doable on your own but better with a guide.Seguridad: I saw police patrolling the area regularly, there is a presence. I felt safe walking and driving around.Posibilidad de caminar: Walking distance to some great authentic restaurants and bars, pharmacies and souvenir shops.

MeganKalen Ladnier: Due to the unfortunate events happening with the airlines, we ended up stuck in San Juan for 3 extra days. Delta only provided us with one night stay at Double Tree. After arriving at the hotel, we were told Delta never contacted the hotel to verify rooms for myself and the 4 other people with me. The lack of communication and accommodation from Delta was so disappointing BUT Double Tree did not allow us to be stranded for 3 days with no room. Stephanie and Gadiel at the front desk went above and beyond for us and made sure the 5 of us had rooms for the entire 3 days we are stuck here, covered by Delta. We could not have asked for better customer service. The rooms are great, pool area is beautiful and clean, Pablo is an excellent bartender, everything is top tier. Highly recommend staying here!

Jazdiannet Shackford: Our absolute go-to when ever we are in San Juan. The hospitality, cleanliness, amenities, and location cannot be beat. Better Reality Coaching: Great hotel and great experience. Only a few minutes from the airport. The hotel is exit 2b and the airport is exit 8. It’s conveniently located to many amenities and the beach. I would be remiss if I didn’t say the walls are paper thin, I heard the microwave from the other one. Any issues I had, had nothing to do with the staff. So overall, I enjoyed everything about my hotel experience from my first encounter with Bryan to the last encounter with the staff at the restaurant. Everyone was very friendly, hospitable, and accommodating. Next time I am in PR, this will be my hotel of choice.

Kim Delgado: Just the most beautiful place I have ever stayed at. I’m looking at my photos a year later and still unbelievable ! The pool was empty when I went and so peaceful. Every inch of the space is rich in character and just feels magical. I loved wandering around, looking at the art and watching the sunset from the rooftop. Great location in central San Juan close to all of the main sights. The staff was also very nice. I was also surprised at how affordable it was so such a beautiful place!Only thing I will note is to be careful when it rains since it’s partially outdoors, the floors can get slippery. I ended up slipping and falling on my way back to my room one morning, but the staff was sooo kind, apologetic and attentive to me making sure I was alright. They had someone come right away to make sure it was dry.I stayed by myself and felt so at home here, would absolutely stay again!

While my wife and I did not actually go to the area during the evening or the day we HEARD IT.Starting from 6:00 p.m. until music subsided at 6:00 a.m. the next morning, the constant irritating sound left us tossing and turning all night.Sleeping for those days that we were there was a nightmare because the music wasn't a tranquil melody, but instead, it was drums, saxophones and overall loud music.Would I stay at this place again, knowing what I know now.... I don't think I would do it again. Is it worth while to see it one time? Yes I think it is. Will you dislike the fact that as soon as 6:00 p.m. comes along and you hear music that won't stop until the next day? That, my friends, is a certainty.Ps: I will be adding pictures in the near future to illustrate the uniqueness and visible history of this property along with the parrots that are located on site.Pss: If you are indeed a heavy sleeper, then absolutely reserve this hotel! It is such a memorable experience that a person will not be disappointed! It seems like every place you look there's something new to discover.

Kiara Alfonseca: I will be recommending this place to anyone visiting San Juan. It's got its quirks -- exotic birds roaming the grounds during the day, a private rooftop for hotel guests, a beautiful courtyard for sitting and grand but cozy kitchen area for eating and reading. It felt like a magnificent and beautiful home away from home. It is so close to the best restaurants and historic sites in the old city but also a short cheap drive away from incredible beaches and other destinations. If you're used to resorts and high end luxury, this isn't for you. My only warning: you likely have to walk through outdoor areas to get to your room so be aware of slipping / water when you're walking around. It also is not very accessible for people with mobility issues. Other than that, please stay here. It's locally owned and newly adored by me and my partner.

AJ J: Excellent location! This local hotel has a lot of character. The rooms are all unique and contain a lot of art. Lots of pianos. Air conditioning in the rooms and lots of shade in the courtyards. I recommend this place for people who like the quirky and unique, but I wouldn't recommend it for people with any sort of mobility issues or for someone with a young toddler - the place is old so many uneven surfaces, steps, and issues with leaky sections of roofing that could become slipping hazards. And of course lots of objects and statues around that would be hard to keep a toddler from grabbing. I like the place, but rated a 4 instead of 5 because of the water dripping from the ceiling onto the floor into the hallway making it slick and also because my ceiling in my room sprung a leak when it rained. I couldn't be moved until the next day because no other available rooms, but I also noticed stains on the floor when I first arrived that suggested water in the room was an ongoing issue. Despite this, I appreciated the character of the place.

Kathleen Moss: Amazing Inn, I would never stay anywhere else in San Juan. We stayed in a King room, the mattress and linens felt like we were sleeping on a cloud. We were blown away by the elegance of our room and the entire property. Service was great, Sam was warm and helpful. This place is a breath of fresh air, there's no other hotel or inn like it anywhere in the world. Such a rare gem on this beautiful island.
