The pool staff was great - providing treats to guests while they enjoyed the pool. Breakfast buffet was great. In room amenities are great. All around a great place to stay and have a break from real life.

Jeff Ramsey: I looked at many Google reviews before our visit. I would like to say thanks for all your help. We met up with friends at Condado Vanderbilt to celebrate our birthdays. Let me say booking thru my AMEX Platinum card was a great deal. Breakfast buffet for two daily. Ends around 11 am daily. The value alone for the buffet for two was $100.00. Plus we were able to check in at Noon, if available. We couldn't as our room wasn't ready. Late check out at 4pm. Plust $125.00 resort credit to use for food or drink. We had a Commodore Ocean Front suite which was very nice. Two balconies. PLUS, we had our own butler. Enma, our butler was FANTASTIC!! He emailed me a few days before our trip letting us know he would be our butler and asked if we needed any help. I asked for him to help us arrange ground transportation to and from airport. NOTE, BAHIA Transportation was nice, etc. but was expensive. $110.00 to the Hotel which was about a 15 min ride. Our driver did not lift one finger to help me with my luggage, which we had two large suitcases and two carry ons. I pulled my back the day before so this wasn't good. I asked Enma after arriving to cancel our ride back and got an UBER Black to take us back at the cost of $24.00. Would recommend UBER Black for transportation. Anyway, back to hotel. The staff was so GREAT!! I mean best staff anywhere we have stayed. We have stayed at many fine hotels, Ritz, Intercontinental, Willard in DC,etc. They didn't have no in their vocabulary. When we celebrated my birthday on a Saturday, my wife reached out to Enma, our butler for help. He set up the room while we were at the pool with a bday cake, balloons, plates for charcuterie board my wife wanted to prepare, 8 champagne glasses, as well as a bottle of champagne on ice!!! I didn't see any charge either on my bill for all this. My wife wanted to tip him specifically for this occasion, so she found him and gave him a tip. Victor, working the entrance area of hotel was spectacular. Made sure to greet me by name every time we entered or left hotel. Paiulo, hostess in buffet was so great in making sure we got what we needed in the restaurant where the buffet was. Amid made spectacular omelets for us at the omelet station. Enma, our butler was very instrumental in checking in during our stay seeing how were were doing via text. Like having your own assistant. He was very helpful giving us ideas on restaurants of what we were looking for, then he would call and make our reservations for us and confirm back to me time, etc. Ropa Vieja was one of our favorites. Tayzan, Chinese, Sushi, and PR food was not great. I would not go back. Serafina, next door to CVH was awesome as well. Great walking distance to Marriott Stellaris Casino. LaConcha Casino didn't do it for us. Highly recommend the walk to Stellaris. Also, there is a market right across the street called H & R Food and Liquors that has a quite a bit of selection of liquor/beer, as well as food items and prepared food such as sandwiches prepackaged. We had a nice sub zero smaller fridge in our room as well as a nice ice maker. Nespresso type machine that uses the pods which were provided. Alto Grando was the pods of choice. The cigar lounge was quite small as I generally sat outside to smoke a cigar once in a while. Tacos and Tequila was good as well. They gave me and my wife both a margarita on the day of my birthday. The pool drinks were awesome. Condado Express was our favorite. Medalla Beer is awesome as well. Low carb with great taste. Airport Duty Free Store sells liquor, beer, and coffee on your way out so you can take home some treasures. Alto Grande coffee was our favorite. Again, CVH was spectacular stay. We want to go back again soon. Knowing what we know now, wouldn't change a thing. Was so relaxing and again, STAFF WAS SPECTACULAR!!!

Lisa Quach: Stayed in Room 1111 mid-July. The room had 2 double beds. Bathroom tub could use an upgrade but everything else was clean. The balcony was private and the oceanfront room had an amazing view. Housekeeping came everyday:For elite members, you can go next to the lobby to get water, soda, chips during the day from concierge. You can choose between points or breakfast coupon… the coupon is for the buffet at the restaurant next to the pool area. There is an omelet bar, fruits, meats & cheese, pastries, bacon, sausage, quinoa, scrambled eggs, smoked salmon, and some other things… it’s not like an all-inclusive resort breakfast but it was not bad at all. Included mimosas. On Friday night, there was also a cocktail hour event for elite members in the lobby/bar. They provided small items as sliders and desserts. Parking for elite members is also reduced. The valet parking guys are soooo nice!They have a schedule of events such as movie night or s’mores…The staff was wonderful. They gave me a small bottle of wine in a gift bag when I mentioned it was my birthday.The casino bar is open until 3am and Angel is one of the best bartenders ever. Makes a really good Miami Vice too! They will give you $30 “match” coupon… go to service desk and they’ll give you what looks like Monopoly money and you can use with your cash to make a bet… gotta spend money to make money.Location: nearby restaurants… there’s a variety within walking distance… for late night, dulce la vida and the spot next door is open until 4am… there is also a Walgreens and 24hour store next the hotel so you can always buy what you need… including liquor. They stop selling liquor at 2am!There are people on the beach to set up chairs for you. You can order food and they’ll bring it to you. Card or Room charge only. There’s also a guy who sells these pineapple slush things inside a pineapple, it’s $20 with liquor and completely worth it!!!Would only stay here if I came back to PR.

Brandon Cleaver: Outstanding experience. The staff was completely awesome. There were a few minor things that came up. But was well overlooked. I wish I remembered everyone’s name who helped. My only complaint was eating outside for breakfast, was a bad experience especially for the price, but they have a bakery inside which I do recommend. They gave us an oceanfront upgrade. That was very much appreciated. Overall amazing experience. One thing that is undeniable was the housekeeping service was outstanding. Absolute kudos to the housekeeping team. The hotel felt very clean and safe!

Christine Shoyinka: We had the most wonderful experience! Not only were we in awe of the hotel, pool and beach, the entertainment was also spectacular! Olga Abreu took wonderful care of our room. She was so sweet and kind. Olga did all she could to make us feel comfortable and at home. We were very blessed to have amazing people taking care of us. Mara, another staff member took care of us like family. This was our kids’ first time in Puerto Rico. They will have these wonderful memories forever.

Madeleine San Martin: My husband and I come to Puerto Rico once a year, and we always make sure to book a day pass for a seaside cabana at the Fairmont el San Juan hotel pool. Today, we had Jorge Juan taking care of us at our cabana and the service was absolutely amazing! He made sure we had everything we needed throughout our 6 hour stay. He was super kind and communicative, and he helped to make our day a great one! Thank you Jorge Juan!

Tenía todo lo que necesitábamos. Los baños necesitan una renovación como lo están haciendo. Pagué más por una habitación de nivel superior y pensé en renovarla. Eso fue perturbador. Buen desayuno, no excelente pero incluido. Ojalá el estacionamiento fuera menor pero era conveniente. El servicio al cliente fue excelente y la hora feliz también.

Kristian Alwill: Hotel El Convento is an absolutely can’t miss property. each space has a personality all its own from the grand courtyard to tucked away reading nooks and a breathtaking plunge pool. This property is sure to inject your trip to San Juan with a one of a kind energy.The location within old San Juan can’t be beat as you can walk easily to everything and enjoy everything the area has to offer.Rooms aren’t super grand but they were clean and updated.I wish I could give this property 5 stars but when I went to use the gym there appeared to be some flooding mixed with loose electrical wires and plugged in gym equipment. This definitely made me uneasy.

Tiene un patio interior para descansar, muy. coqueto y asistido por una barra, dispone de un gran salón que fue la antigua iglesia del convento, Las habitaciones son amplias y prácticas, sin perder la atmosfera del conjunto, dan mayoritariamente al patio interior.La azotea es un lugar estupendo, con una pequeña piscina y unas vistas impresionantes sobre todo el conjunto de la ciudad.Frente a él, lugares para estar, restaurantes, comercio, etc. Como pasa en el Viejo San Juan, el acceso en carro es algo problemático. También algún problema de accesibilidad, ojo a personas con problemas de movilidad.Si tiene una pega es el servicio, que lo hemos visto escaso.Muy recomendable.

Emily Morrison: We loved staying here. It had everything we needed for restful nights after busy days. Our room was clean, quiet, and felt elevated from more corporate hotels. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location couldn’t be better. It’s very close to restaurants, bar, coffee shops. The plunge pool is nice and they have a complimentary wine hour. We never ended up eating at their restaurant but it’s in a nice closed in courtyard. We’d stay here again for sure.

The rest of the staff was great, the pool bar staff, the trolley drivers, the cleaning staff, and the restaurant staff was great. I would choose another hotel and see how it goes before staying there again based on the front desk staff. They were the least helpful when it came to checking in and even worse when we had family come to visit us for the day at the hotel.Habitaciones: The room was clean, plenty of plugs for charging your devices, and well stocked in the bathroom for toiletries.Comidas y bebidas: The drinks were great at the pool bar! So Le: I didn’t stay at the hotel but I had a meal and a spa treatment. It’s the most beautiful spa I’ve seen in my life. It’s divided by genders so you can feel comfortable if you don’t want to wear any clothes. The masseuse was great and I had a great time.

Juan Lopez: La experiencia de resort más increíble. El personal fue de lo más servicial y las vistas y las comodidades eran espectaculares, incluidos los campos de golf. itsalljones: This is a great place.. Location was wonderful .. right on the beach.. beautiful views.. Service was as expected.. and the beds were very comfortable.. I had difficulty with the in room coffee pot.. and was a little disappointed that the balcony didn't have room for a chair.. and we parked in a lot across the street . We used some reward points to pay for 3 day stay.. So the minor inconveniences weren't a big deal.. Though, if I had paid the regular price with cash, I might have been a little ticked, lol . J Roland: This hotel is great for a girls trip, a romantic getaway, or even for a family trip. The hotel is situated close to several convenience, stores and chain restaurants. The pool is large and has several shaded areas and the beach offers, complementary chair and umbrellas for guest as they arrive. The food at the bar and at the on-site restaurant may not be the best you’ll get in San Juan, but it’ll do the job before you head out to get some of the local fare!

Katherine VM: I stayed at the Royal Sonesta, San Juan in late July of 2024. It was the best hotel experience I had in Puerto Rico. The room was spectacular, clean, comfortable, and an amazing view. They thought of everything. From the beach to the parking, everyone was super helpful, friendly and accommodating. The pictures don’t do it justice. You can stay on the premises and have a great vacation but it is such a beautiful island 🏝️ you have to venture out. The area is lively, plenty of attractions nearby and the airport is close so no worries there. I give it a 10/10,. would do it again. and again.Habitaciones: The rooms have city or ocean view. They are roomy, and have a refrigerator in them. The showers have rainfall shower and the decor is up to date. The beds are comfortable and it seems quiet, I didn’t hear my neighbors at all. The decor is modern and up date. It is a luxurious place.Actividades cerca de mi ubicación: Fajardo is where you can take a ferry to the nearby islands such as Culebra and Vieques. Definitely worth booking in advance. It’s an amazing experience. Also check Indian caves, all these activities are doable on your own but better with a guide.Seguridad: I saw police patrolling the area regularly, there is a presence. I felt safe walking and driving around.Posibilidad de caminar: Walking distance to some great authentic restaurants and bars, pharmacies and souvenir shops.

David Glessner: Always stay here fir my work trips to Puerto Rico. My family came with me this time and everyone loved the resort. Definitely recommend!Habitaciones: Big rooms and good furniture. Nice place to wind down, and most of the rooms balconies have great views.Actividades cerca de mi ubicación: Recommend Pirilos for pizza. Also nearby are some great restaurants!Comidas y bebidas: Multiple food choices at the resort, but at resort costs. Local restaurants within 5 min. are really good too! Small bar at the resort inside and a nice bar/restaurant at the pool.

Para dentro de la propiedad el hotel te provee bicicletas.

Michele Westhoff: . The food and drinks were good for breakfast lunch and dinner. The only negative thing I will say is that if you are going for a quiet romantic couples trip, this isn’t the place. Children and babies are running all around unsupervised and screaming. The room for morning breakfast was small and my head always hurt from all the screaming. Besides that, I totally recommend!

Devender: Great location. Value for moneys. I think rooms are little old but that adds to the charm but be ready for some creek sounds and doors making a loud thump. There is a coocie frog which will sing through out the night which adds to expeirence lol. Friendly staff but I will really appreciate if one of them can stop singing specially during afternoon hours when we were taking nap despite very good potential to audition at PR idol.

Jennifer Vega: My friend and I stayed in the king room and we were both mesmerized by the beauty of this lovely and charming boutique hotel. The style of the place is romantic, antique, historic, and full of unique character! Bed was pretty comfortable and the showers are good. The location is excellent. Very easy walking distance to all the attractions of old San Juan. I recommend this place to stay for a few days while exploring this gorgeous and historical city!

Además, excelente vista al mar cercana.El único inconveniente fue el aparcamiento muy limitado cerca.Planee pagar mucho por estacionar cerca del hotel o caminar bastante.

Mike Tee: Stayed here in March 2022. Staff was wonderful, pleasant and polite. They greet you every chance they get. Food was really good. 9/10. Drinks were strong especially if you give a nice tip. We left the resort to eat locally but still came back to eat once we realized the food was just as good as the local restaurants. Pool and swim up bar was good. The room was extra spacious and clean. Can’t say enough good things about this resort. Only gripe is it’s VERY CLOSE to the airport so you can see and hear airplanes just about all hours of the day between 6am-11pm. This can be annoying after a while. You have direct access to the beach. Clean and not crowded. Chairs and tables available. Casino on the premises is ok. High floors have amazing ocean views and breeze. Lots of bars and snacks. Overall I give it 9/10. I’ll come back.

El tour de coctelería consta de un recorrido por los terrenos y una clase de coctelería donde elaboras dos cócteles diferentes.Cuando llega por primera vez a la propiedad, se registra, se le proporciona un boleto de bebida gratis y puede pedir bebidas en el bar y comida en un puesto mientras espera que comience el recorrido. La comida y las bebidas eran buenas.Para el recorrido de coctelería, comenzará recorriendo los terrenos y aprendiendo la historia y los procesos que definen la historia y las operaciones de Bacardí. Poco después, te llevan a la clase de coctelería. Pudimos preparar dos cócteles y también probar el ron de reserva especial de Bacardí

Los fines de semana se acaba rápido, pero hicimos la cata de ron y eso también fue increíble. El ambiente era genial cuando llegamos allí. Es un lugar hermoso. Obtienes una bebida. También tenían otros vendedores los domingos. Muy recomendable.
