We also spoke with the staff who were super knowledgeable and so friendly. The store was really nice and had a wide variety of gear and selection. Tyler Stern: This store has everything you need to sport climb and much of what you need to big wall. I can’t speak for caving and canyoneering, but they have gear for that as well. The owner was in and very knowledgeable. They are the reason climbing in Puerto Rico is possible, between their bolting efforts and beta. Please support them if you are climbing on the island! Their mini guides are much better than MP.

Beth Feindt-Scott: Roca Norte is a beautiful place to climb, and Marianela and Kenneth are the best instructors! My significant other and I have been coming to Roca Norte for 7 months now. We started out doing guided top rope climbs assisted by Marianela and Kenneth, who over time exposed us to mock leading and belaying ourselves. Most recently, we participated in the 3-day Sport Rock Climbing Course where we learned many different skills from lead climbing, lead belaying and rappelling. Safety is at the forefront of every lesson, which helps you feel confident as you learn new techniques. Since initially coming to Roca Norte with no climbing experience, we have felt very supported in our journey of learning all the necessary skills and have made great progress all thanks to the great instruction of Marianela and Kenneth!
Q: The experience with Roca Norte OCG was awesome!! They are very considerate and helpful with gear renting! Very communicative and chill owners. We rent some gear from them and had to fit the pickup time for our schedule. They appeared very understandable and flexible on our situation. And they do have a mountain back at their house where more than 40 routes could be found there! If you are looking for somewhere to climb outdoor and don’t wanna travel too far, their place is definitely a good choice! They have showers and bathrooms too. Highly recommend!
Catherine Reynolds: Highly recommended climbing spot! It is an amazing private crag, well maintained, and they have rentals. Very well labeled routes and a lot of fun! Would definitely recommend as a place to stop whether you are an experienced climber or not. There are routes for everybody!!
Humu Yansane: My 8 year old daughter recently attended a week of summer camp at Roca Norte Outdoor Climbing Gym, and she absolutely loved her experience there. We traveled from New Jersey, and rented an AirBnb in Vega Baja 15 minutes from Roca Norte. Marianela was amazingly helpful with providing us tips prior to arriving. The camp grounds were clean and safe, and they had a lovely and holistic energy to the area. Marianela and her spouse, Ken, were great with the kids, and my daughter was excited to go everyday. Daily communications and pictures were sent via What’sApp, which I very much appreciated. We will definitely returning. I highly recommend this camp if your child is passionate about adventure and climbing.

Antonio Quinones-Rivera: I have been bouldering and climbing,mostly indoors, on and off for several years, but only recently decided to get serious about the sport. In 2023 I took a lead climbing class in an indoor gym. But it was only after I took the three day course at Roca Norte in April of 2024 that I realized that my previous training had left huge gaps in my knowledge. Learning the basics outside, on real rock, makes a huge difference. Thanks to Kenneth and Marianella I now feel prepared and confident to increase my enjoyment of this beautiful sport.
Meg Fredericks: my husband and i had an amazing experience climbing here during our trip to PR! we are indoor boulderers and i’ve always been intimidated by outdoor climbing, but Marianela and Kenneth’s expert guidance, along with the beautiful scenery made it so much more approachable. you can tell this is a labor of love, and they made us fall in love with outdoor climbing as well! definitely visit if you’re looking to get into it, or if you’re completely new to climbing and want an adventurous but safe outdoor experience!
matthew steffens: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! We had a great time and Marianella and Jhonsey were very nice and very knowledgeable. Our family ranged from age 8 to 47 and it was a fun challenge in a gorgeous setting. The bathrooms are good and there are shade and sun options while waiting. Me and my whole family had fun. Will definitely visit again next time we're in Puerto Rico.

Algunos de nosotros habíamos escalado antes, pero la mayoría éramos todos novatos.Los propietarios fueron acogedores y muy bien informados. Nos brindaron una lección sobre la terminología y el protocolo de escalada adecuados que se utilizan y al mismo tiempo nos hacen sentir cómodos y preparados.Mientras dos escaladores estaban en las rocas, el resto charlamos, disfrutamos del hermoso paisaje y nos animamos unos a otros.Recomiendo ampliamente Roca Norte a cualquiera que busque salir de su zona de confort, superar los límites que percibe y desafiarse a sí mismo de una manera positiva.

Ale: Friendly staff and convenient location. Small but has everything you need. I would not say this is a luxury gym. It has little to no extra amenities and the space is not kept to what most consider "luxury standards".

Joel Zea: Nice clean gym. You have to bring your own locks and towels. There are 3 shower stalls and a pretty large locker room. They offer various classes. It does get pretty warm and the air conditioner is not very effective but you’re there to sweat right? This gym is nicer than your average gym but if you’re used to high-end gyms, then it’s just good. It can be a little hard to find. It is located on the 5th floor. You enter through two large glass doors on the left of Starbucks and Denny’s. I was quoted $33 a day for a guest pass and $89 for the week. If you’re visiting.
Jeanine Padilla: My bf and I visited San Juan and fell in love with this gym. It’s clean, the staff was excellent and the locker rooms were immaculate. I loved the vibe in here! Definitely visiting again next time we are here!

a nexus: Siempre tuve una mala impresión de planet fitness, pero ahora que soy socio me han dado la vuelta. Los beneficios que obtiene de la membresía negra hacen que valga la pena por $ 25 por mes. El gimnasio en sí está bien ya que el área de pesas libres es demasiado pequeña para la cantidad de miembros, no hay suficiente espacio ni equipo, por lo que a menudo hay que esperar. Aunque las máquinas son realmente buenas.
